Hello Sir,

My name is Aamir. I am from Karachi,Pakistan. Currently I have done a MBA in Finance. MBA is equivalent to 16 years of education in Pakistan. Could you please help me out about the following queries:

MBA from Pakistan is considered to which grade in US.?

As a MBA , Am I eligible to apply for an Associate in Applied Science degree in Business Management in a community college in US.?

What is the grade level of this degree in US. ?

Is this an Undergraduate degree? Is it better to obtain a 2 year Associate in Applied Science degree after a MBA? Should I apply for this degree ?

Please reply as soon as possible,

Thanks.

You have an MBA but want to go back a few steps to do an Associate degree in a Community College? huh2.gif

In the US, a person usually has a 4 years university degree (bachelors) before getting an MBA. That's 6 years of university in total.

A person finishing high school (12th grade) will go to a community college.

People with MBAs do not usually go back to community college.

You going back to community college is like a person with a 18th grade level going back to start the 13th grade. This makes your situation very unusual. It's a potential red flag as a sign that you are using the community college as a means to immigrate to the US.

If you already have the MBA what you need to study is a Doctorate or PhD in Business Administration.

An associates is less than a bachelors.

In the US people stop counting grades after high school. The last year of high school is 12th grade (although if you count kindergarten it would be the 13th year of school). Then 4 years of university (it is a little longer than other countries because the US works on a liberal arts model requiring broad education). A master's is usually 2 years but I have seen one year programs.

16 years of education outside of the USA

might translate

to a Bachelor's Degree in the USA,

if everything is equivalent, 1:1

If it's not equivalent, at 1:1, then it will be less than a Bachelor's degree.
