Hi everyone! This is my first post here, so... Yeah.

Anyways, I did some research on the K-1 case filing process and I saw something called packet 3, and I'm a little confused.

My fiancee's paperwork and case have already been transferred to the Mexican embassy, and we called them a while back ago. They said that we should be expecting a packet from them that they sent on Sept. 3rd, and that it would get to us Oct. 3rd. Since it has not arrived yet, we decided to call them. They told us that it could get here a little longer than expected, but that we could still scheduled the interview for sometime next month in November. Does this mean that packet 3 is not necessary? They said something about her filling out forms online, and me paying a fee online. Does this sound right to anyone?

What doesn't help is that the answers that they have been giving us have been pretty inconsistent. We called them a couple of times, to figure out what exactly we needed to find out online. We decided to also ask them about how long it would take for the package to get here. One person said we had to wait 6 weeks for the packet to get here and another person said we had to wait 6 months o.O

6 months is a lie because the the NoA2 is valid for 4months from when it is approved unless the embassy has their own reasons! just go ahead and schedule the interview online! ps: just my thought dont wait for 6months

schedule the interview and arrive a day earlier perhaps to get the "packet 3" letter from the consulate early in the morning.... I believe they open the window at 6:30 am.... you will need this packet to go for the medical exam and for the interview... people just go to the consulate and get it a day or two before the interview.... good luck!!!!
