I am trying to help someone who is completely lost in this process. I am not too familiar with F2A though..

I asked them to check their NOA1 to see where their petition was routed and they say it's NBC in Missouri?

I was under the impression I-130/F2As were processed at the service centers (or is it NSC now?).

So my question is: is it possible for F2A to be processed at NBC?

6/21/2013 -Married in Stockholm, Sweden 4/16/2014- Case received at NVC

9/6/2013 -Priority Date 5/13 /2014- Case number and IIN assigned

2/25/2014 -Transferred to NSC 5/20/2014- DS-261 completed

3/31/2014 -Approved 5/21/2014- AOS fee invoiced and paid

5/22/2014- AOS package overnighted to NVC

5/28/2014- AOS scanned into the system

6/20/2014- IV invoice email (but fee still locked on CEAC )

6/23/2014- IV fee finally unlocked and paid.

IV package overnighted to NVC

6/30/2014- IV scanned in. DS260 completed.

7/1/2014- AOS accepted

7/2/2014- False checklist (AOS reviewed)

8/1/2014 False checklist (attorney's G28 reviewed)

Yes it is possible. I've seen some VJ posts where the petitioner's have stayed at the NBC. However, most petitions eventually get transfered to a local office. I'd have that person just continue to monitor the case. Mine was received at the NBC and then transfered a month later. However it took 3 months to find that out even with me calling periodically asking for updates.

Its strange. Only IR-1/CR-1 goto NBC. All family priority goes to service centers.

That's what I thought.

So, do they go to NBC or not?

This people who I am trying to help have made quite a lot of mistakes already. They hired someone, not a lawyer, to prepare the package for them, and.. it's just a mess from what this girl has told me.

They did not submit any evidence other that their marriage certificate. And no translations.

I assume the requirements are the same as for CR-1. Correct?

I don't think they submitted petitioner's green card copy, too.

Can they have someone call USCIS for them? the petitioner's English isn't good enough ..

They will probably get RFE's in the future.

If they incorrectly mentioned spouse of citizen in the application rather than permanent resident, then they are in much bigger trouble coz you are making a false clam to citizenship. I hope this is not what they did.
