We filed packet 3 electronicly on 10/24/13 and still no interview date...

I could be wrong but I don't think you can completely fill out package #3 electronically. You would perform the following:

1) You fill lout your DS-160 online and then you print it out (Bring this to the interview)

2) Fill out form DS-2001

3) Get 2 visa photo

4) Copy of passport

Mail the above items to Ho Chi Minh Consulate

Then wait for Package #4.

You can confirm that they receive your package by using the following website:

ok , just ship my fiancée all the paper work for her interview (my birth cert, bank statement, work statement, w2, 2013 tax return, ad. of support, etc). She now has everything she needs except for the police paper work. We should receive it in about 2 weeks or so.

Just waiting for package 4 so she can do the medical and pay for the app feel and then do the interview.

Note: Mailing paper work to Vietnam from the states = $155 (Really??) shess.....

The payment slip is in English but the Vietnamese is not clear/scrambled with unrecognizable characters. I tried opening it in Internet Explorer, Firefox, and Chrome.

Anyone else have this problem? I want to make the deposit Monday but am afraid they will not take it in just English with unclear Vietnamese on the slip

Yup mine is the same. I already submitted a defect for the Vietnamese strings on the payment slips. The root cause is because the programmer didn't use Unicode-8 correctly with 16 bit to display the Vietnamese characters correctly. They are aware of the issue and looking at it as we speak.

You should be fine to use that slip. HSBC bank is required to be able to read in English and it has the amount and also it has the barcode for them to scan or enter into their system so don't worry too much.

cheers!

all,

Please make sure to print out and bring your DS160 form to HSBC bank. They will ask for it before they will accept payment. So you will need the DS160 print out and also the payment slip.

I was able to send the DS160 to my wife via email and she show it to them on request which they accepted.
