Oh, sorry. I sent a message and the link to the blog page to her. I may try emailing it to them again next. (I seem to be getting tons of emails from people who work for them since I signed up for the White House's Petition site.) Twitter doesn't allow for a lot of text even in private messages.

You rock too! I appreciate everything everyone is doing to try to get the word out and make the USCIS accountable for this problem, and to make them fix it. Even if it doesn't get fixed for us, the idea that they could continue doing this to other people with absolutely no consequences is obscene to me. I really think that working together is our best bet for effecting real change and making things better.

Can I just add my thanks to all the committee members and others who are bringing our plight to the attention of the media, the politicians, social networks etc. My husband sent letters to his local politicians in Washington State but has yet to receive a reply, no surprise there. So he's gonna send them again. It's just such a depressing situation we're all in. Thanks again.

Hi all,

This marks two weeks since USCIS announced transfers to speed up processing. So far, we have seen no positive change in adjudication rate. If the approvals don't start rolling in this week, and I mean, at least 40 per week here on VJ, USCIS is just not taking the backlog seriously enough. I guess 40 per week would merely keep up with the incoming petitions, and VJ stats are fairly reliable. This would clearly demonstrate that USCIS management feels that an eight-month separation is not long enough to give our petitions priority, and are simply not doing enough about it. Of course, if we just take what they give us, why would they change?

you're not going to see 40 approvals on VJ even on a good day. I just wonder what will happen to April filers after they are finished transferring March, especially with no approvals coming through yet.... and then here comes the holiday season with closings all over the place.

I live in Canada and my USC hubby lives with me as a LPR. We just submitted our I-130 and although we are not seperated by this ordeal, we do pay some price in the fact that Hubby feels torn. He wants to move home but doesn't want to leave me and his son behind. his parents arent getting younger, we have started to clear out the house and prepare for our new lives in the States, but we get so depressed when you see the timeline of processing. We just want to move forward and live our lives

I under stand, up to a point of the Amnesty Program and Provisional Waivers....for some in extreme cases....but for those of us following the laws, it simply it isn't fair. I sympathize for those who are and have been separated, seems like you are being asked to chose love of country over love of life.

Amazing letter, kudos to the Committee, seems you speak for all. Least we can do is make it go viral. Post it on your Facebook, link on your twitter, get it out there. President Obama is all about change and moving forward, we need to push for it.

I also agree with the fact that with all this waiting, it is just a petition filed to say if we can apply for a visa. Having to wait for something that should not take 16 months is absurd. It isn't even the whole process.

I think unaffected people will support us, but I agree that without them being affected, reaching 100,000 is impossible. Plus, I don't like how the existing petition is written.

I do interviews as part of my job, and I'd be happy to talk with the AILA prez. Thanks for finding this.

We need to have people BE affected and i think the video is an awesome way to demonstrate this.

can the change.org petition be re-worded so it has current wait times and backlogs....also to make it about all of us who are waiting and not specific to the listed story....just my 2cents. I will forward to all my friends if these changes can be made

Talked to local immigration office this past week due to change if address (for the better) and was told by the gentleman that if your case is at NBC (MSC), they're just now working on October 2012 cases fyi.

Now that my change in jobs is complete and my personal move is done as well, I'm ready to get this ball going. Going to look into more local offices and maybe the mayor's office because he has higher up colleagues in places. Any avenue that is there with a phone number and/or address, its my opportunity to make a change

A contact of mine is meeting with the state legislature this week. Some congressmen will be there as well. I'm trying to get a word in for us to see if at the very least if it's possible for someone to be held responsible for the mess we're in. Naturally, this is not the subject of the meeting, but my contact will get a word in for us, at least off to the side. The main point I will ask my contact to make: 1. abysmal processing times for I-130; 2. the LIFE act (K-3 visa).

Everyone needs to use their contacts to find a avenue for us to get noticed! Keep pushing until someone at USCIS feels the pressure!
