Hi guys!

I have submitted my I-130 on behalf of my husband and we are currently waiting to receive our NOA2. Given that we filed in September, we're estimated that we'll finally get the NOA2 sometime around March/April at this rate.

I know that we will need to submit a copy of his military record (which can only be requested after he has left the army), but he is still in the military on a contract and won't be done until April. If we get our NOA2 sooner than that, it seems like we'll have to wait until April anyway to get the paperwork... right?

Has anyone else had a similar situation? Do you know what details exactly are required on this paperwork? Maybe there is some way to get around this requirement?

Thank you for any help!

Hi there! My husband had already finished with the army. They get a discharge paper. I think it's called a teudat shikhrur. He would know what that means :)

He may be able to get some documentation from his superiors in the meantime if you are approved earlier than he finishes.

By the way, it's nice to see another Israel filer...In the last 8 months or so since I began this grueling long process I hadn't really seen any other Israel filers other than some K1s!
