For everyone out there that needs to get their PCC for their India Applications should take notice that getting your PCC through the Passport Seva site is taking approximately 40 days to even get the appointment! I have attached a screen shot for an appointment pulled on October 13, 2013, the next available appointment is for November 27, 2013. Also take note that these PCC's are valid for 90 days after issuance. Best of Luck to all Journeyers!

Thank you for that correction, this information was given to me via phone by the passport office. I called back and spoke with 3 more reps just to make sure the information they gave was correct this time. I also confirmed that if waiting for an appointment is not possible, then a walk-in to the PSK office on the same day would get you the PCC.

It was on the New Delhi embassy page and I also emailed them and asked and got the same answer (1 year validity)

New Delhi US Embassy doesn't have to do anything with Indian Passport Office. This rule have been implemented from last year or so. Contact Customer Service number that you find on Passport office website and asked them. Will get correct information by calling CS not by reading information on US Embassy website because they probably didn't update it...

Best of Luck!!
