Hello VJ users,

I need your help. My fiancé has a previous K1 petition which was approved but he didn’t continue with the process and the visa wasn’t issued. He even didn’t call to get the case number he didn’t do anything after the approval. My question is how he can cancel the previous petition. He has applied couple months ago for me. In the package we put a letter in which he wants to withdraw the previous one and he explained the reason. Is that enough or he should do something else? Cause I want this petition to be canceled before my interview. I appreciate if somebody helps me! Thank you!

petitioner should write a letter of withdrawal to USCIS... Don't forget to include the receipt number, name & DOB of petitioner & the benificiary. I am not so sure if you need to notarized the letter. Hehe I was in same situation broke ip with fiancé before approval and I asked him to cancel the petition & he did. He wrote withrawal letter & notarized from his bank.. And after a month he got a letter that case is closed! Good luck

Before or after it doesn't matter coz no interview happened. U can call USCIS and asked what to do :). Goodluck
