I am just thinking out loud.

I wonder how we can have a section, sort of a high level FAQ section, that is a requried reading area before the userid is approved for logon to the site.

What happened to the OP is an unfortunate but easily avoidable thind but that has serious implication.

Good luck to all concerned.

If you follow the basic rule NEVER LIE TO IMMIGRATION then most problems can be avoided. Many of the serious problems that have happened are the results of lying to immigration , everything for false information on presented document to multiple passports presented in more than one name to the Embassy. The second rule is don't ignore the immigration laws.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

It is completing the US Gov documents, using the BC as a supporting document.

If she just tried to emigrate and had stated that although the child is hers per Birth Certificate, she is not the mother, I doubt there would have been a problem.

Even if it wasn't a "problem," it would still be fraud to provide a birth certificate knowingly containing a false claim of parenthood.

Just because someone gets away with fraud without a problem doesn't make it okay or not fraud.

Did OP come back to rebut? I cant understand Y her

name would be on another womans kid BC, some

places they do some weird things within families

"just because", was mommy in school or unmarried

when she became pregnant and this family name's used

as moms, don't they show ID there during pre-natal or

at registration of birth, where's the dad in all this.

I am wondering if a woman is trying to run a scam would

she tell on herself at the consulate? after all she had a

real BC along with a kid, or was she thinking if she disclosed

the real mother the kid later on could help biological mom...

OP how did they find out?...very curious

This case need Carl Shusterman & a bankroll

I have certainly come across quite a few scams involving family issues and this Consulate, I assume the Consulate checks more thoroughly than may be the case elsewhere.
