It's also awesome that Arne Duncan (former CEO of Chicago Public Schools), is now the Ed. Secretary, and fully intends to use government funding to push this nationally... the Chicago systems "local issues" for about five minutes until their administrators get their paws on federal funds and foist them on the nation. Any school that bans homemade lunches also puts more money in the pockets of the district's food provider, Chartwells-Thompson. The federal government pays the district for each free or reduced-price lunch taken, and the caterer receives a set fee from the district per lunch.

The real reason puts money in the pockets......of who.... who gained a political favor to be granted this contract?

And no doubt free breakfast and Lunch at school for the kids enrolled (even though she is collecting a large sum to feed them)

The reason this goes on and will continue to go on is because it benefits too many interests and the pay back is

1. Loyalty from those picking up the checks

2. Loyalty from the huge Gov't bureaucratic machine of people, who administer the programs.

3. Loyalty from the Private sector who provide the goods and services the money is spent on.

Sure, the sky is falling. My daughter eats what she wants at school. Sometimes that's the school lunch, sometimes it's a lunch from home. It's really up to her what she prefers on any given day. Doesn't require any involvement of her doctor.

I cannot tell you how hyped up I am at this note my friend Linda received today from her child’s school.

Her child has to have DOCTORS NOTE to send a packed lunch to school.

And does anyone notice the irony in the “health coordinator” and enforcement of no bagged lunches?

So I suppose that sending a note that says “I choose to skip the GMO’s in the lunches you serve for a more balanced and safe diet as the parent of this child” doesn’t suffice?

This is almost as bad as our schools policies to serve Lemonade and Nachos or Ice cream during Charlotte’s P.E. classes every week.

What he should have said was

-In the first place I did not say "Black Americans" I rarely use that term anyway.

-IN the second place African Americans have been left behind in this economy, at 13% of the population they depend on Food Stamps at much higher rates than the average American..... even though in total numbers Whites have more people using Food stamps.

-This country was known for it's industriousness around the word, we out produced everyone and now too many of our people are languishing on the public dole, people of every color and I want to open up opportunities to turn that around, to encourage the dignity of work and self sufficiancy. I'm not interested in giving out cell phones and false hope Bill, thats just not something I see as good for America or the individual.

The point of the video and what Janelle is trying to say is welfare isn't strictly a black issue. When politicians say welfare, they are pointing at black people in general, ignoring the fact that there are plenty of white folks on it too. And they abuse the system just the same.
