Hello

I have been living in Rawalpindi for last 4-5 years and before that i was living with my parents in Kamra(Distt. Attock, Punjab), recently i was posted in karachi for 9 months and there i lived in two different districts i.e. Clifton(22-Dec-2005 to 04-Jul-2006) and Malir(04-July-2006 to 21-Sep-2006).

Do i need police certificate from all these places? Yes? then how much time it takes to get them, for how long they are valid, also what will be the rite time to go and get my police certificate?

Hello Aftab,

If you lived any place 6 months or more you need police certificate from local police offices. Time depends on offices, as when i went for police certificate it only took 1 day (1000 Rs.), also police certificates are valid for only 3 months. I think you should wait until you reach packet 3 stage.

Thanks

Zaki

Zaki is correct you need a certificate for each place you lived 6 months or longer and the processing time to get certificates vary. It took my husband roughly one week for each of his to be completed and he needed two from different cities. Also, as Zaki mentioned they have an expiration date on them so do not get them too early.

Thank you all :)

Zaki, how much time usually there is between Packet 3 and interview?

My I-129F has been touched 3 times in past 1 week? i am wondering does that has any significance or its just normal i.e. everybody is touched like that once I-129F is transfered from Missouri to Service Center.

Thanks

thanks again Zaki,

hey somebody tell me, is there anybody from rawalpindi/isb or sorrounding areas, whos case is in process?

AmmarMichell , i prayed for u, inshaAllah everything will go just perfect for you, may Allah be with u n your wife(to be). :) all my prayers n best wishes go with u :), sometime i wonder, is interview at embassy just like a job interview? i mean where u have to convince them about ur case? tell ur story through docs and evidence and ur body language? i guess homework on all this should be good, i am not expert on this, but i feel you should arrange ur docs n pics and everything like a storybook, in which thing is understandable without much questioning and confusion.

Best of luck,

may Allah be with u
