Have you received anything yet?

My husband had his interview on July 24th, 2013 in Baghdad, Iraq and was put in AP as well. They kept his passport and gave him the refusal under 221gcray5ol.gif. We haven't heard back from the embassy so far other than them updating our case about 4 times since the interview.

In AP do they the case back to USCIS? Its really sad he had to go through this. 10 hours of questioning is kind of harsh. Did they ask for any supporting documents to prove the legality of marriage? Also did the field visit go alright?

@tessnsam

Hmm.. If your relationship is genuine, you will get through it. Seems like the CO does not believe this is a genuine case at all! Never heard anyone interviewing for ten hours! Wow! I am sorry for your trouble. I am baffled by the claim that if person of one religious persuasion marries someone from another religion, then the relationship is invalid!! It is simply not true.

Seems like the consulate is digging on its own to see if they can come up with some facts which can expose if there has been any fraud. When and if they send the petition back to USCIS, and USCIS reaffirms your petition and sends it back to the consulate through NVC, I am afraid your husband has to go for the interview once again. You might want to talk to an experienced immigration lawyer who can assist you with it.
