Alright, thank you both for the info! :)

its not really a priority date for I-130's. Priority dates are used for the limitied visas. ( per the Senator's advocate)

It is the date the USCIS receives your file.

and it seems they don't process according to that date anyway... it could have something to do with how fast the background checks come back and if there are underlying issues they need to straighten out before it gets placed in the dusty vault. So maybe they are all mixed in the boxes.

yours is 4/22.... yes.gif

PD - Priority Date
Check your NOA1 / form I797c, it is stated there. Usually it's the date when uscis received ur i-130..

how do you know they are processing March now?

I think they are processing everyone according to their PD, everyone is in different stages. But many cases of March filers are in the last stages than others and chances are them getting approved soon. As well as April filers too may get approved before some March or February filers too... and the rest maybe a bit later.

There is a lot of February filers too, the easy ones have been approved, but some cases are taking longer because their PD is later or their situations are bit difficult to process, I believe. Everyone starts from the first stage (PD), and then continues, but how long you stay in a stage of the process it depends on many things.yes.gif

How do you know the February filers' situations are difficult to process?

Yeah, that doesn't make any sense. We already had a bunch of background checks done when I immigrated over to his country. I honestly think that my case should be pretty straight-forward. That people who are in line after me are getting their NOA2's is a slap in the face. Order in which they were received, my butt. There are plenty of people ahead of me as well who haven't gotten an answer back yet. And they should get their answers either for an approval or an RFE before me.

Updating my comments just a few days ago, when I had not heard anything, I have just been notified I-130 approved. I am the beneficiary, my wife the LPR petitioner.

Timelines:

Filed (PD) 12 April 2013, sent to Vermont

Transferred to Nebraska 04 Sept 2013

Approved 15 Oct 2013

Now comes the difficult bit, getting all the documents required by NVC (we haven't heard from them yet). But at least we are able to get on with it now, rather than just waiting for that first tick of approval. I hope this encourages other filers to believe that they are getting things done at USCIS, even if they don't give any info until it's done.

jan 14 filler and no sign of i130 yet..

we are not losing hope but this is really hard on both of us.

what a nightmare of waiting and slow processing and running in a circle of no answers at all.

i wish there could be some real answer from someone to give a satisfying answer

but i guess everyone works for uscis is good at lying.

just pray for us and everyone suffering from this pain

What you had done for his country isn't the same as what the USA requires.

My husband works for the FAA and had to have an in-depth FBI check (including a personal interview) for his job. We didn't get through the USCIS any faster. Before that he was in the US Air Force for 8 years and had secret clearance. Didn't matter at all... it depends on the speed of the person working on your case.

Right now the NBC is in limbo. Hopefully with the gov't shut down ended, they can get their butts into gear, and do some work for everyone! 3 cheers for everyone and triple crossed fingers and toes!

Workload Transfer from National Benefits Center to Service Centers

USCIS recently began transferring some casework from the National Benefits Center to the Nebraska, Texas and California Service Centers to balance overall operational workload. The affected casework includes the following form:

Effect on Customers

If your case was transferred, USCIS will send you a notice listing the transfer date and where your case will be processed. Your original receipt number will not change and this will not further delay the processing of your case.

How to Track the Status of Your Case

We have recently updated the USCIS website at www.uscis.gov with processing times for Form I-130 cases filed by U.S. citizens for their eligible immediate relatives. Please check the processing times for your petition before inquiring about your case. Please also note that, if your case is transferred to another USCIS office, you should refer to the processing times for the office that has received your case.

You can check the status of your case at www.uscis.gov by entering your receipt number in the“Check Status” field. Additionally, you can sign up to receive automatic case status updates by email as your case is processed. If you have not received a decision on your case within the published processing time, you may submit an inquiry using e-Request or contact the National Customer Service Center (NCSC) at 1-800-375-5283. For TDD hearing impaired assistance, please call 1-800-767-1833. When making any case status inquiries, you should reference your original receipt number and indicate that your case was transferred to a new location.

If you have filed a Form I-130 and you receive a request for evidence or any other type of communication from USCIS, please read the notice carefully to ensure that you respond to the same service center that sent you the notice.

If you move while your case is pending, you can change your address on the USCIS website or contact the NCSC so that USCIS can notify you of any further action on your case. It is important that you notify USCIS of any change of address as soon as possible after moving.

Jeez, that is awful sad.png are they going to make you re-file? I hope they will waive the $420 fee as it was their fault.

well the personnel that i have spoken from the atlanta field office told me that he cant find my case file coz if he found it he will adjudicate it for me coz i went their all the way from alabama. Unfortunately our file is nowhere to be found. Been contacting tier 2 my congressman and senator to check on our case and i was given generic answer each time but the truth is no one is really looking into our papers for 9 months. Anyway he gave me a personal envelope with an attention on his name and ask me to give him a copy of my application. I ask him if he needed all the supporting docs and he said he doesnt need it he just need the copy of our application, marriage certificate, and 2x2 id picture of my wife and i and he made a copy of my passport and noa1. I mailed him all the docs the next day and ive been waiting for two weeks now for any info but havent received anything. So I schedule another info pass this Nov 1. I cant believe that they can adjudicate an application right away but ive heard people here at vj that it can really take up to 20 mins to adjudicate a case.
