Hello,

I petitioned for my mother and she had her interview in Amman, Jordan last week. The consular gave her a pink slip telling her what documents she needs to submit and to mail them in, which we have. The pink slip does not say 221 (g)/administrative processing on it, but when I check the case status online, it says administrative processing? Can anyone tell me what that means? Also, what happens after this? Will she be called in for another interview or be informed of the decision?

Thanks so much!! :)

Is it internal administrative processing or is it actually sent to DC and what not? Thanks so much for your reply.

Is it commonly an internal AP where the consul will review the documents that you sent then decide on the issuance of the visa.

Thank you! Do you know how long internal AP generally takes?

No specifics. Anywhere to a few days to a couple of weeks? If its a serious AP, it could go on for months.

Only the embassy knows for sure, anyone trying to answer this would merely be opinion and speculation
