Yes, that was considered. The Republicans blew their gaskets over that idea. They even blew their gaskets over the idea to let medicare compete on the exchanges - remember the hype and outrage over the public option?

So much for progressive thinking from the self-identified "progressives". rofl.gif

What? I've always said that Obamacare is sub-optimal. I've always been a fan of single payer. I've favored a public insurance option on the exchanges once it became clear that a single payer isn't realistic. And I've always been less than excited about the final product that is Obamacare. But all that said, I still think that Obamacare is step in the right direction.

The fact is that the GOP's 1993 health care reform proposal was eerily similar to Obamacare. All the central elements are there. Republicans could have triumphed on the victory of conservative policy proposals. They chose instead to go down stupid lane.

 5-17-2013 - NOA1

 5-20-2013 - Check Cashed USCIS

 8-01-2013 - NOA2  (76 Days from NOA1)

 9-20-2013 - NVC received!

10-7-2013  - Received at embassy Manila (17 days from receiving at NVC)

10-21-2013 - Passed Medical

10-25-2013 - Interview scheduled

10-25-2013 - Administrative Review

11-5-2013  -  Approved

11-13-2013 - Visa received

11-19-2013 - Leaving to PI

12-3-2013 - POE Seattle WA

12-14-2013 - Wedding Ruston Washington.
