I am not opposed to the idea behind Obamacare.... but the way the law was written and passed.... come on... seriously...???

I think it's safe to say that Democrats are far better informed about Obamacare than any other segment of the population. It surely appears that Republicans failed to inform themselves about Obamacare before deciding the shut the government down over it in this fools errand they decided to run. The good news is that they're getting hammered over that nonsense and it's a real pleasure to watch them squirm. Of course, only those that have a sense for reality are squirming, the Ted Cruz' of the Republican Party think that the people are supporting this nonsense. They're in a total delirium and that's just as much fun to watch.

And with our system of government.... the minority (in this case the republicans), to force a shut down or refuse to raise the debt limit, is the only way they can make their voices heard.... Isn't our country about, majority rules but they are not allowed to trample on the rights of minorities???

The republicans are using procedural rules as opposed to Obama who dictates that corporations can have a year delay to enter Obamacare..... Someone PLease tell me where in the law does it say that Obama can decide to delay parts of HIS signature law.???? The repubicans offered a bill to pay for everything except to also give individuals the same one year delay as Obama gave to corporations.... so why is this unacceptable.??

Yes, that was considered. The Republicans blew their gaskets over that idea. They even blew their gaskets over the idea to let medicare compete on the exchanges - remember the hype and outrage over the public option?

The only thing that is getting trampled is the standing and reputation of the Republican party. And that trampling is done by the Republican party. It's awesome.
