Approved 1-797 Notice of Action(NOA) not got case number yet

Hello,

I have applied K1 visa for my fiance, I have recieved I-797 NOA that stated it has been approved and our document has been sent to New Delhi consulate. I have hired a lowyer to work with ussince the begining of the process but she is telling me that we have to wait from New Delhi to send us the case number. It has been over a month and we haven't received any thing from the New Delhi. I need advice of how to obtain my fiance's case nubmer? please help.

when did it was approve?your approve docs is not yet send to New Delhi consulate.all approve petitions are send to NVC (national visa center) in which they will assign a case number before they will send it to your consulate.typical estimate for CSC sending the approve petition to NCV is around 6 to 8 weeks. be worried when its beyond that.if you want to check the status and ask for your case number this is the number or email them :

Sent the petition to 07/24/13

first NOA1 received 08/05/13

09/09/13 I got NOA2 Approval that stated it has been approved and my documents has been sent to New Delhi Consulate. It is four weeks, the time line you have stated make sense. My lawyer told us to get ready all the proper documents like packet 3 and stated to wait for the packet 4. Since my fiancé has completed everything I thought I should called or get more info of how to obtain the case number. I have read so many information of how obtain and it is overwhelming.

Finally, my fiancé got his Case number and when I checked the status it says " Ready". The question is how can you get scheduled for an interview? Do you have to call to schedule or the embassy notifies the interview date? Does anyone knows a number to call for Mumbai embassy?
