Hi everyone,

I need help and idea from all of us who have experienced with the from I-751 with children!!!

Since I sumited from I-751 and sent it to Laguna Niguel, CA. I got the receipt under my name on it. (09/12/2013)

Then my son got separate letter "Verification of inclusion of a Department in filing of form I-75f1" on 09/13/2013.

After that, i got my ASA appointment Notice for the Biometrics appoinyment on 09/24/2013

Today i just done the finger prints at Application Support Center but my son did not receive an Application Support Center (ASC) appointment notice at all? I called the customer service center she suggested me bring my son on the same date. Today i show up the staff will not be able to help me with my son finger print due to he doesn't have the paper.

I am very stress!!! What should i do next ? cray5ol.gif cray5ol.gif cray5ol.gif

PS. He is only 7 yrs.

Children under 14 usually do not have biometrics captured. This is normal.

Unfortunately the fee is compulsory but USCIS can (and usually do) choose to waive biometrics for a dependent child under 14.

Same thing here...I was also told that since they are under 14 years old, they don't have to have biometrics anymore. But the thing is, they didn't get their new green card! They were supposed to get it 6 months ago, but up until now, no 10-year green card yet. What am I going to do?

That's what they told me. We had our appointment in December, my 2 sons and I, but not my daughter. They said it's normal. Yesterday I got her appointment for April!!! I wonder if that will delay my case another 3 months?? Does anybody know? Thanks!!

Hi Sarah,

Normally, the process took only 6 months to get the new green card for ten year. You can create your account in USCIS website and submit your case there. As i remember i took my son for Biometrics appointment in last October 2013 and we both got green card in January 2014. I think it pretty fast! You can call USCIS Customer service Center at 1-800-375-5283 and check with them too.

Oh I've had my account there from the very beginning. My 2 sons and I were requested to ASC in December, but my daughter was not. I called USCIS, first they said I should bring her to the apptmnt, then they said I shouldn't. I took her with me just in case. Nope, they didn't take her fingerprints. They said it was ok. My NOA is Nov 14. I have been waiting, it's been 4.5 months, and I just received her appointment. Maybe they were reviewing my case and they just realized that her fingerprints were not taken, and then we'll need to wait another 3 or 4 months...
