Scheduling Visa Appointment / DS-160 / DS-156 / Kiev

I am very confused.

My understanding is that you need the following:

Two copies of the nonimmigrant visa application form DS-156 and one copy of Part I of Application for Immigrant Visa and Alien Registration form DS-230 for each applicant, including children, must be submitted with proper photographs.

But, when I go online to try to schedule, they want a DS-160 filled out. Yet at the same time, it says you need a DS-156. That is not online. But it won't let you choose to schedule online unless you fill out the DS-160 form that you supposedly are not supposed to use.

Does anyone have a clue?

I am stuck.

I think the Embassies haven't had a chance to change their instructions yet. I emailed the Turkish Consulate and they sent me the supposedly new instructions, but it still says you have to fill out DS-230, I56, 156K and 157. But from the New Notice it makes it seem like we only have to do the DS-160 now and that "it replaces" the other forms. I'm confused on if I still need to fill out the old forms PLUS DS-160 now. Anyone have any ideas?

Er, i always filled DS-160 for a B1/B2 visa. Which is a tourist/business non-immigrant. Are they also using it for other stuff?..

Okay, after some mild googling: check out this page in Kiev embassy site, they have lists of stuff for all immigrant categories. Apparently, you do DS-160 for the K-1.

I'm the beneficiary.

Don't have a timeline? Don't know how to get started with it? Do it for the statistics sake: VJ video guide

Filing for a USC spouse visa (IR-1/CR-1) and not sure what comes next? Check out the VJ IR-1/CR-1 guide

Want to know what's happening with your case? Here's the USCIS tracking page (get an account and see if the case's been 'touched'!). Don't get your hopes up though, some cases never even appear there despite being successfully processed.

They seem to have just changed their procedure and now require just a DS-160, and do not require DS-156, DS-156K, or DS-230 anymore.

Read the instructions PDF on http://ukraine.usembassy.gov/visa-forms.html

It tells you all that you need.
