Well ideally they would have got business out of healthcare all together and implemented a single payer system. But this is the compromise they all came to. The insurance industry was in on that.

Democrats, Republicans, insurance companies, pharmaceutical corporations all knew what they were getting. Anyone blowing steam at this point is just for show.

It is not at this point, people with vision have been against this system since the concept.

There were some ppl who were sold by the idea that this policy was going to be a game changer and everyone will have coverage and blah… blah …

This policy is not doing anything but taxing the healthy families for being healthy and fit.

FYI ... get out your la.. la land none of the American voters voted on it.

It was forced by Obama and his admin........and even in courts it was defined as tax.

Coz govt cannot force ppl into buying what they(govt) think is good for ppl.

how so..blah blah?

Who do you think will pay?

Here is an example of a situation since you cannot understand how so:

The 64-year-old Danville artist, who survived breast cancer, has purchased health insurance for herself for decades. She watched her Anthem Blue Cross monthly premiums rise from $317 in 2005 to $1,298 in 2013. But she found out last week from the Covered California site that her payments will drop to about $795 a month.

But people with no pre-existing conditions like Vinson, a 60-year-old retired teacher, and Waschura, a 52-year-old self-employed engineer, are making up the difference.

"I was laughing at Boehner -- until the mail came today,"

Waschura said, referring to House Speaker John Boehner, who is leading the Republican charge to defund Obamacare.

"I really don't like the Republican tactics, but at least now I can understand why they are so pissed about this. When you take $10,000 out of my family's pocket each year, that's otherwise disposable income or retirement savings that will not be going into our local economy."

hilarious.

please try to explain how making health insurance coverage available and mandatory is doing absolutely nothing but taxing healthy families for being healthy and fit.

try using your own thoughts and words instead of peicing together nonsensical odds and ends overheard from fox and friends.

Yeah, everyone has a vision. There was no doubt this law was going to pass in some form. Those who voted against it on principle - great - look what we got. They could have got this law right the first time. Too many of them chose to bend over instead.

This policy is not doing anything but taxing the healthy families for being healthy and fit.

That's the vision of someone who has blinders on. Many people have been able to get coverage who couldn't before.

While I do think the tax is silly, universal coverage only works if everyone has it. It's unfortunate that this is the best compromise they could come up, but that's what happens when half of your government is on the take.

I'm sorry and I might get in trouble for saying this, but this is one of the stupidest things I've ever read.

i don't watch msnbc dear, i don't pay for cable.

i suggest you reread your link slowly and attempt to process all the information presented within, not just snippets that appear to mirror your personal opinion.

from your link:

"I'm not against Obamacare," Waschura said. "It's just the initial shock. I'm holding out hope that there will be a correction over a handful of years."

But to Gray-Raine, the breast cancer survivor from the East Bay, that correction has already come.

"Obamacare is a huge step in the right direction for those of us without employer coverage," she said, adding that she hopes everyone will "join in and make this new legislation a success for all."

There are various factors that will come into play when talking about insurance and medical coverage, one thing is getting it … I understand that certain ppl who were not able to get insurance can get it that is great news.

There is another side someone willing to accept the insurance and provide the service and someone who will be paying for this insurance policy as well.

I don’t think any insurance company is in the business of charity work, which means they will make sure someone else would be paying for unhealthy people and that will be healthy people. There is no free lunch.

seems like a realistic, logical response. what's your point?
