They will ask you very basic questions about you and your fiance they might ask your wedding plans. some people will marry for green card, they dont want to issue visa for them.

The best thing for you to do is go the Lagos Consulate Reviews here on VJ. This where you will read about everyone's experience in Lagos, and the types of questions that come up. I think the most important thing for you guys to do is to identify what are your potential "red flags" and discuss them a head of time. The reviews really help. My husband was asked really basic simple questions ( he felt it was so casual he didn't even realize the real interview had started, he thought the CO was basically just chatting with him until it was time to start to real interview), others had really complicated lines of questions. But we are a "traditional" couple so there isn't really anything outrageous about our relationship to question. Just relax and talk to them truthfully. Don't make things up just because you didn't understand the question. Make sure you understand the question before you start answering. Leave very very early. A girl I know her husband left like an hour before his interview and was turned away when he go there because he stupidly didn't account for traffic or any other disaster that may have come along the way. I made sure to keep harassing my husband that day to make sure he was out the door with more than enough time to spare.

It's hard to come up with a line if specific questioning as it could change and then he'll be thrown off.

My advice is to just know every detail about you and to be casual and above all be honest.

If he doesn't understand the question, have him ask for clarificarion instead of giving what he thinks is the right answer. That sunk us last year.

*** Thread moved from K-1 Process forum to the Embassy/Consulate forum -- topic involves that phase. ***

(Moderator hat off)

Listen only to the members who have experience with Lagos, because there's no other embassy like it. Go atop any VJ page and read "Embassy Info" and "Review: Embassy" (see links) about Lagos.
