I am new to this forum & If I have posed in the wrong section, I would like to ask the moderators to please move the topic into the right section.

I WANT SOME HELP REGARDING DS-230 FORM:

I have sent DS-230 two times before & I will have to send it for the 3rd time.

But in my Education I mentioned 2 of my fields (same educationals department) but Different Courses. which are Texile Desinging and Fashion Designing.

The problem is that, when I filled up my previous 2 of DS-230 forms, I was in aEducational Institute doing my certificate. Hence I mentioned "Certificate" in my DS-230 from.

Unfortunately, I was never able to complete my certificate due to my new job which is very much far away from the insitute where I was doing my Certificate. Now I will have to send the DS-230 form for the 3rd time & I am very much worried.

I need your advise, what should I do regarding this, because I never wanted to lie and I do not want to lie about my education. The problem is that I had no one to help me that time while filling the DS-230 from, my whole famliy is in United States.

As I was doing my certificate at the time, so I mentioned in the DS-230 from about the certificate. Now I am not able to complete my certificate what shoud I do?

Should I remove the name of that Institute from my DS-230 from OR Should I mention "N/A" there instead of "Certificate" OR if none of these then please advise me with the best of your opinion (Experts only please)

My case is under Famliy Based Visa.

Education does not matter. You will neither be approved nor denied based on your education. The consul will NOT ask for diplomas and certificates.

They will be much concerned about POLICE certificates.

Police certificates are fine, I am never arrested nor I have been to in anything unlawful. The reason why I am worried about this, is that I have mentioned "Certificate" in 2 of my previous DS-230 forms, but as I stated above I was not able to complete my certificate. Now I am worried that they may consider this thing as a lie. But I never wanted to lie, I mentioned each and everything I was supposed to mention.

Lots of things change during the process. The DS230 has become obsolete too, by the way.

People are being asked to submit the online DS260 now (in replacement of the paper DS230). https://ceac.state.gov/ceac/

You can bring a new DS230 on your interview day OR you can inform the consul about the "change".

I am done with my interview, 3-4 years ago. I have filled DS-230 twice, but I am worried now.

Please advise me what should I do. Should I do not mention the institute or should I mention the institute, but Instead of Certificate, I may mention "N/A".

I need advise, because to me this is a very serious matter, as my whole family is in US and I am here alone.

Welcome to VisaJourney! I'm moving your thread to the Embassy/Consulate forum, because the topic concerns a form that's relevant to that stage. :)

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).
