Hello. I'm new to the forum and was wondering if anyone with experience could answer some of my questions. I'm aware that everyone's situation is different but it'd be nice to hear from someone who's going through or has dealt with a situation similar to mine.

Here's a back story... I came to the US in 2001 as a minor. My mother was denied asylum ( I was a derivative) in 2002 but was granted voluntary departure. In 2004, I married my then USC boyfriend. We've been married for 9 years and have a 7 year old son. We got an approved I 130 in January 2005 but the I485 & I765 we're administratively closed because uscis no longer had jurisdiction over my file. My husband is an active duty soldier so between deployments, military moves and trainings, we finally hired and paid an attorney in 2010 to help file a motion to reopen. We ended up firing him in 2012 because nothing had been done. In August, we decided to contact ICE chief counsel ourselves and asked him to join us in a motion to reopen. He agreed. In a matter of 3 weeks we filed the motion and received the decision from the judge. The judge granted my motion to reopen and dismiss without prejudice on September 23.

The chief counsel told my husband that we'll have to AOS with our local uscis ( we now reside in TX. The motion was filed in va). So on the 30th, we did an infopass and we were informed that my case wasn't updated in the system yet and that once that's done, I'll receive a call with an interview date. ( I have up to date Bio on file)

My question is how long does it normally take for files to be transferred to the field office from the court in cases like mine? Also can I get an in the meantime?

Thanks for reading.
