Hello there,

Just checking in with any K-1 petitions who received their No2 notification in August or later...have any of you received your case number to set up an interview date?

I know it's probably going to be a few months from what I here but I'm still curious.

Thanks!

-Jay

Have you tried calling NVC? Usually you can call NVC two weeks after they give you the NOA2. They'll tell you your case number.

October 1, 2013 = Biometrics done.

November 20, 2013 = Scheduled interview.

December 2, 2013 = Green Card received! The letter said they approved my application on Nov 22.

I remember getting NOA2 on July19 and NVC getting the case on August 16.

When I would call them every few days whoever answered would say it could take up to 8 weeks to receive your case.

I would say just be patient and check in with them every few days until they have it and can give you the case number.

NVC does not setup the interview for K1 as NVC will input the Case data and then ship the Case to the Consulate/Embassy where they will receive it.

Consulate/Embassy will then contact you and ask for a bunch of info, get medical exam, and then you can schedule interview.

I would say once NVC gets the case your still looking at about a 2-3 month process until you get to the actual interview depending on which Consulate/Embassy your dealing with.

I received my noa2 September 8th then it was sent to the NVC. I called them maybe 2 weeks later and they said they received it and gave me

My case number. I called again a few days later and they said it had been sent to Juarez. Now I'm just waiting for what's next from my lawyer.

Hey Jay, saw this post. Both got their case #s today. Same NOA2 date as yours. CSC as well. Maybe you can also call DoS? Who knows, you might just get your great news ;-)

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).
