Hello Everyone,

Hoping to get a clear answer here. I am gathering everything to send the I-130 form for my husband's visa. I am getting conflicting information regarding the initial fee to process the paperwork. Since we currently live in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, we are required to file through Ciudad Juarez, due to jurisdiction. I am hesitant to send my payment of $420 directly with the packet because I had read from other VJ members from various postings that they sent their payment , but didn't receive any other information, as if the consulate just cashed the check. Also, according to the CJ consulate website, it says all payments should be made in person at the window. I understand that we will definitely have to make the trip for an interview ( God willing) , but we are not in a position where we can make a trip just for this initial document hand-in phase. Anyone who has done the process through Ciudad Juarez that has some insight? We want to be safe and do things correctly.

Thank you!

Mary
