Nah, there is another word for the wood that runs along the roof else than eaves. It'll come to me.

@Cary I have no doubt. I think he wishes he hadn't taken on this project though, he thought it would be quick! I don't have the heart to tell him that the whole shady side of the house looks like it might need the same.

Many home repair projects seem simple until you dig into them and discover the hidden problem. Often times caused by someone who didn't build it right in the first place.

I was replacing a sliding glass door in a home I used to have, which was rotting out. Turns out no flashing was used when the original door went in, to rot in the framing around the door needed to be addressed to. No wonder it rotted out!

Hey if you wait til you're a real old geezer....and retire at 70. Your bennies go up to about 3300. But by the year ...um....wacko.png 2028....it'd be closer to 4000......(but you'd be closer to dead)

Hello Wacko....how's Aliban? :)

She continues her pattern whereby if she looks at a spoon it becomes dirty and requires warshing, sigh man. Her excuse (batting eyelashes over puppy-dog eyes): "I have a trauma." When she was young, the family had one spoon, and they passed it around, wiped it off, ate with it, and repeated the process, gee man.

My wife has the same trauma about shoes. When she was young the family had one pair of rubber flip flops. They passed it around so each could take a step, wiped it off, and handed it to the next person. Or at least thats why she tells me she can't have enough shoes today.

While that is a joke, her family was actually so poor growing up that her and her sister needed to share the same clothes. They had four outfits between her and her sister. They washed them every day and swapped who was wearing what so it didn't look like each of them had only two outfits. Real shoes were not always included in their wardrobe.

Hello Wacko....how's Aliban? smile.png

He's great! Found a football team to play with (first game tonight) and he's been fixing up the house. No plumbers needed at the taliban/wacko casa!

Look how happy he is whilst fixing our window:

In reality, I'll probably retire early and take the SS penalty. We've got a guy at the office that is shooting for 70 now. It's not the money, he just doesn't want to be stuck with his wife all day.
