He was 90 percent blocked on one side, and 30 % on the other....dunno the details. He's a single guy.

Good grief. However, he might come out of it healthier (and more aware) than before, let's hope man. Does he have anyone to take care of him?

Cardiac trivia: Stenosis is vessel-blockage from Whatever through 99%. Occlusion is complete blockage.

Fascinating article, well worth reading, see man:

Toward the right is a link to see it in PDF, if one prefers, see man.

OMG T-bone how on earth do you come up with this stuff rofl.gif

You inspire me, D ma'am. You should not be sick, no man.

Yes that is what they told my exH too bad hes still kicking. He had 3 put in, total waste of money hes a druggie and alcoholic.

Unfortunately, stents won't work unless lifestyle-changes accompany their arterial deployment. As I gather, the minimum is aspirin (usually lifelong) and probably warfarin, sigh man.

I can’t say I miss that bitter cold that happens at home.

In a certain decade (ahem) decades ago, I had moved from Iowa to North Carolina. On the first Xmas Day in NC, it was 70 F., and I walked outside wearing short pants. I remarked aloud, to no one in particular, "There is no need to stay in the Midwest and be COLD, no man!"

The second Estate Sale went fantastically well

Got any hints on how it was made successful, huh ma'am?

1. I can't wait for the first snowfall here so hubby can experience what it's like.

2. I want to kill my boss

1. Tell him that snow is merely "fat water." By the way, my best hyskool buddy (who was always somewhat weird) used to eat yellow show, pee man.

2. If you were in Ecu, you could simply hire a male acquaintance for $20 to beat him up. That's one of the few pluses that keeps Ecu from being a third-world country, whee man. Of course, if you were in Ecu, you would still be eating rice rice rice rice rice, gag man. Mrs. T-B. served something other than rice today and I asked if she were sick, man.

1. I'm dying here! Somebody hire me!

2. They might even be able to take some of my Ecuadorian credits

1. Move to Texas where there is WORK, see ma'am. :bonk:

2. For some reason, I have a cookie from utpl.ec that never clears from my computer (or it always returns even after the nightly flush of the cache, si man).

Speaking of Loja, I still vividly remember my TAME flight from there to Quito. The check-in agents tried to charge me the Gringo Exit Tax before letting me board the domestic flight, eee man. Fortunately, Mrs. T-B. (although schmoozing with everyone in the airport) was within earshot, and several ears probably got shot when I bellowed "Cariiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiño! Gringo rip-off again!"

Youse guys all go to bed far too early, gee man. This one-sided conversation, although lively and witty, is after all one-sided, although lively and witty, see man.

Thursday is the 5th anniversary. After ceremonially blowing my brains out, I shall present Mrs. T-B. with a few small goodies, which I have been surreptitiously collecting on forays after work. She also wants some patio furniture being sold at an MS (moving-sale), advertised on Craigslist, so I might safari the extra 15 miles to see if the people are home and are willing to set a Cheap Gringo price in advance of their MS. This will probably all happen in the rain, slosh man.

A couple of years ago, I gave Mrs. T-B. a birthday card, in Spanish (with difficulty, I induced that it was probably very romantic), and I stuck a $50 bill in it. When she opened the card, she said, "Oh, Cariññññño!" [oh, sweetheart] in a touched fashion. Rather pleased with my ability to pick foreign-language messages, I asked, "What exactly does the card say?" She said, delightedly, "It says 'fifty dollars!'" :bonk:

Speaking of this, have y'all (excuse me, Boss Steve: youse) read this, in its tragic entirety?

Got any hints on how it was made successful, huh ma'am?

Priced things lower than I knew we could get, advertised well, and had cleared out the junk before so I knew it was only sellable stuff left. We also didn't bother with the really high end stuff - paintings and another item we already have at Sotheby's. One of these other paintings might be in the Sotheby's range, so we will wait.

Honestly, everyone got a steal on stuff for a fraction of what was paid for a lot of it, but when you pay a lot for an unknown artist, that retained value is just not there.

All my current problems in a nutshell. I could find a decent DC apartment for around 900 bucks a month, but coupled with all our othet expenses we would really be pushing it if we were both only making like 8.5$ sad.png I'm dying here! Somebody hire me!

On the bright side, I'm doing really well at school. They might even be able to take some of my Ecuadorian credits to shorten my study time here. Woohoo!

Glad you are doing well at school!

Yeah, the terrible job market here is part of the reason we are considering moving to the upper midwest. Cheaper housing and the pay rate is almost the same. The gas savings alone will be worth it.

Speaking of whom, in how many languages is Asia fluent, and how many others does she have a working knowledge of, huh man?

Asia is fluent in Polish biggrin.png

And probably in English (tho she doesn't have a chance to practice speaking, only writing and reading and she makes tons of mistakes).

Asia also can speak in German (tho she doesn't like this language at all, oj nie).

Years ago she could speak Russian, but now the whole knowledge is gone with the wind...

And she knows a little, really little bit of Spanish (tho she has the whole course on her laptop, but can't make herself to start learning it more).

I hope you all are good, tho I saw some of you have problems with their work/job (BTW, what's the difference between those two?). Hopefully you'll be better soon.

And best wishes to those who feel under the weather!

Sorry I haven't been too active, but I've been reading some fiction and it was that good, that I didn't have a time to visit this thread :D

Job market? bad? in CT?

And cost of living? housing? cheap? in ND? The ND hillbillies are doing a 1950s Las Vegas local yokel "jack up the price on the new comers" thing.........

Thank you for spatting, Dear (but no +1? Hmmmph). I trust that we shall rather imminently not see you here for some time, given the pending arrival of HoneyBun or whatever his name is, whee man.

Fixed it for you.

And yes, tomorrow I shall become a ghost.

BOO!

I love a guy who looks like he could be on Criminal Minds as either an agent or a killer.

Not a doctor here, but have gleaned info on the subject. The implanted stents are almost always accompanied by blood-thinners (lifelong aspirin and warfarin). There are two types of stents: bare-metal and (the newer) drug-eluting. The drug-eluting stents emit drugs to help to prevent further blockage.

Maybe they're getting better, but still the reports are saying people just don't live any longer after a stent is in place. Unless you change the reason the arteries are clogging, you'll just get more bad ones. Maybe it also has to do with it got bad enough for a stent in the first place, so too much damage has been done to reverse??? Not a doctor either. But I don't want to get so bad I need a stent, so I'm taking care of my health now.

Job is the place you must go to in order to make money for such luxuries like taxes, food and heat in the winter. Work is what you try to avoid doing while at said location.
