Yep, my hubby does the same thing. I think it's cute, though. tongue.png

Naw.... how come mine doesn't do cute things like that? All I get is the occasional was/were thing now. cray5ol.gif

It's those Scandinavians, being too good at languages and whatnot. :P It makes me so jealous how well they appear to pick up other languages. Makes me feel dumb for not knowing more.

USC who lived in Manabí, Ecuador with hubby from 2009 - 2013. Hubby became a naturalized American citizen in August 2016. Currently living together in northern Virginia.

Well, you've got two fluent, right? That is more than me. The Scandos are lucky because they learn English from young age, most of the adult TV shows and movies are in it, etc. Then they just need a few weeks/months to get to fluency in one of the other Scando languages. Little does the Dane know, but he will be becoming fluent in spoken Norwegian soon (written is already pretty much there).

Jealous! :( I want to learn an interesting language like that. Then again, I don't know what I'd do with it in rural Pennsylvania.

The Dane cleans windows and power washes, I can rent him out to you?

It ebbs and flow around here. I'm hoping we get a fair number. The little one loves giving out candy and it will be the Dane's first Halloween.

I know! I just stocked the house with a ridiculous amount of food and am slowly cleaning.

Yes, please. I have a huge bird spot on a window that is waaaaay out of my reach. Blast it with a hose!

I love a guy who looks like he could be on Criminal Minds as either an agent or a killer.

My wife loves giving out candy to the kids and seeing their costumes. We didn't get many kids last year though. I'm hoping for a better turn out this year. i guess the switching between tricking them one year, and treating them the next wasn't such a good idea.

Supposed to rain Maine Coons and St. Bernards here on Halloween. Fortunately, Mini-B. is too little to know to be disappointed by it, and he has a party on Wednesday anyway. Mrs. T-B. & I planned to do anniversary dinner later Thurs. anyway, so maybe we'll simply start oaring the ark earlier and not worry about this crucial holiday, si and no man.

Of course, all could be moot if I get sick, which it seems is happening, sneeze man.

Hard to type with one hand -- corpulent feline awoke from 3-hour solo nap and has head-buttingly claimed my lap while purring like a fluffy motorboat, miu man. She is also lashing the keyboard with her muscular tail, si man.

Yep! I quite enjoy the way they talk, if only because it's what I learned Spanish from. They're really expressive, and talk with their hands a lot, too. It's fun to watch/listen to.

It must, I'm sure. Hubby also tries to directly translate Spanish phrases into English, which obviously doesn't work. Makes for some pretty entertaining exchanges between him and my family, though. laughing.gif

I saw some Ecus in Guayaquil talking with their hands during a heated post-car-accident caucus, see man.

Mrs. T-B. still comes up with some doozy nonsense words, or badly mispronounces one that I have to ask her to spell. I'll try to remember a few, si man. Meanwhile, here is the classic:

Mrs. T-B.: I bought you cheap.

T-B.: What did you say?

Mrs. T-B.: I bought you cheap.

T-B.: You bought me cheap? What the dickens does THAT mean? I'm not that cheap. And don't let Immigration hear you say that.

Mrs. T-B.: Cheap, CHEAP! I bought you CHEAP!

Further investigation revealed that she had gone to the store and bought me a bag of potato cheaps, si man. :bonk:
