Yellow makes a room look like a tuberculosis ward from the 1960s, TB man.

It's about four to six hours northwest of Guayaquil, depending on how you want to travel (bus, taxi, private car), and depending on time of day. I got quite used to the heat while I was there, but always enjoyed the nice climate in Quito. Never went to Cuenca, unfortunately, but I hear it's gorgeous!

LPoTBP (last post on T-B.'s page) and therefore unread, but if I had read it, I would say that you missed out by not having visited Cuenca, sigh man. The daytime temperature is usually 62 F., 55 F. at night, and the entire temperature range is probably 49 F to 65 F, whee man.

The place is apparently becoming quite a bit more expensive because it's being overrun by gringos who are trying to escape the U.S., flee man.

I need a good, detailed map of Ecu. I'll ax Mrs. T-B. if she's heard of hubby's town or is familiar with the region. From what I've gathered, there are more regional dialects in Ecu than there are in the U.S. Does hubby drop the final consonants from all his Spanish words, huh man?

For a white collar job, it's a color associated with weakness (more so than pink and powder blue). In both culture, and the subconsciousness.

Not if one wears the yellow shirt with an expensive brown suit and a kick-butt tie, no man. The last two would have been bought resale, of course. It's almost impossible to find a quality yellow shirt resale, gee man.

My two best brown suits began their retail lives in the best men's stores in Austin, TX and Gaffney, SC, respectively. People ask me where I got them, and I say "They came from [best men's store]," whee man.

And why would someone in a white-collar job wear a pink shirt anyway, huh man? He would then no longer be in a white collar, no man.

And could someone ever be in a dog-collar job, huh man?

Our 5th anniversary is on Halloween, so I'll be led from house to house by Mini-Bone (if it's not raining) while Mrs. T-B. satiates the sweet teeth of the juvenile-delinquents-to-be who will visit the casa, see man. It is not known whether the cat will dash out or hide further inside, no man.

I plan to tell Mrs. T-B. of my gift to her: I shall spend my day with the rubias (harem of 6 imaginary blondes) so that she can spend her day with the rojo (imaginary redheaded stud), who can, while he's there, also help to oversee Mini-B.

Addendum: Mrs. T-B. just came in to say that she wanted to give herself a facial treatment. This reminds me of the two guys talking:

#1 Guy: How did your wife's expensive mud facial treatment work out?

Well I am pregnant for the 6th time so I guess I am out of my mind. But he married me so hes got to be more out of his mind. But I'm sick and tired and frustrated atm.

250,000 cars were destroyed by sandy. The used car market skyrocketed after the storm and have remained that way.

Oh, I know! I don't mind paying a few grand for it, as long as it's worth it, is what I'm saying. I know ####### about cars so I wouldn't know if I were getting a fair deal or not. Luckily my step dad is a whiz with that stuff - he got my sister an 05 civic for 3500$. It needed a little work, but he did it himself and it's been fine. No, strangely enough, he adds them. He puts "s" where they shouldn't be, and usually smooshes all the middle consonants together. Example: "dijiste" becomes "dijistes" and "cara de verga" (excuse the profanities, it was the first example that came to mind) becomes "careverga". It's apparently more difficult for foreigners to understand than mountainous accents, but it's what I've been most exposed to so I'm understandably more comfortable with it.

I'd own a brown suit if I was a UPS exec.....But alas I'm not....therefore I no own brown suit. I no own yellow shirt. I do have a pink shirt.
