Yellow is good to wear to work if you work on a fishing boat in Alaska.....

For a white collar job, it's a color associated with weakness (more so than pink and powder blue). In both culture, and the subconsciousness.

Yellow is just one of those colours that doesn't work well for a lot of things. Don't paint a bedroom, especially not a child's room yellow unless you enjoy arguing with your child. It's a better accent colour than anything else. But for work, it's just one of those primary colours that doesn't translate well. People tend to argue with you, not see you as a bright ray of sunshine.

For women sticking to jewel tones really flatters just about any shade of hair and any skin tone. Fit is super important for an office environment IMHO even though I've never worked in one.

Am I the only person who looks terrible in yellow and red? I have a mustard yellow dress that looks cute, though.

I can only really wear blue, green, black, and white especially now with the red hair.
