See, that's my plan, but if I don't get a better job to save up some dang money I'm never gonna be able to get a place somewhere else. ): We want to move to DC, but that's a pricey area for a pair of college students. SIGH.

The uni yer at, at the moment,

has an employment office.

If I were in yer shoes, I'd be there each day that I was on campus, looking at the new jobs posted, writing down contact information, calling people listed in the contact block sections FROM the office. Why from the Office? Caller ID shows the Uni, and many folk like to talk if they know its someone at the UNI.

---

If you not want to do that, then do something with the Chamber o Commerce Offices. I looked up the listed city in yer profile - mostly you live in a hell-hole, have to drive elsewhere each day.

That sounds like good advice - I'll definitely look into it. And you're right, it is a hell hole - very small, conservative town. There's virtually nothing here. I drive an hour to school everyday. D: Eager to get outta here, for sure!

I have a nice basement....

But like all things in life, I never got to use it yet.....Ah why you ask?

Because when people know you have a nice apt (just like when they know you hit lotto, etc) they ask for favors. When the house was built, what a coincidence that my buddy was getting a divorce and needed a place to bunk....for 3 years.

Then it was Mr and Mrs Gump......

you try kite fishing from yer pier? That's always fun, and a type of fishing (the only type of fishing) that I enjoy.

What type of bait do you use to catch kites?

Speaking of kites, when I went to the local university here, I lived on the 31st floor of a high rise. One day my roommate and I got the bright idea to fly a kite out our window during halt time of the football game. We kept adding string to the kite until it was just a little speck in the sky. Then we tied it off and went back to watching the game. After the game we noticed the wind had died and the kite had gone done. We must have had a mile of string on that stupid kite and the string went up and over a few buildings and across a freeway when it went down. We just cut the string and gave up the kite as lost.

Darnel - Harrisburg Area Community College. For what it's worth, I'm planning to transfer to a larger university once I'm done with this upcoming spring semester... if I ever move out, that is.

I don't really mind the commute itself, it's just that I have to plan the rest of my day around it. Since I work most of the day, I take evening classes, and end up driving to school during rush hour almost always. Major PITA.
