If you hit the right garage sale, you might find a power steering pump for uno dolares.....

Well, there was some guy desperate to sell what he could before a 2,600-mile move, and he said that he had mechanic-shop stuff, hmmm man... however, RockAuto.com would inspire more confidence, see man.

Come to think of it, I had a headache last week too.....

Did you marry it, huh man? That's the source of most men's headaches, see man.

2. What would I need x-box for? rolleyes.gif

1. And I think I buy the HP laptop... Tho I wanted to ditch this brand, but seems I can't lol.

1. HP is truly the bottom of the barrel, oj tak, and Dell isn't markedly better, oj nie.

2. The Polish alphabet contains these letters -- czyzcwmrjnczyzkaie -- and in that precise order, too (egad, I'm good, oj tak) -- so an x isn't needed, boxed or otherwise, oj nie.

1. that wasn't an advice I needed, Panie T-B!... Now I'm even more confused what to buy...

I bought my current HP in August 2008. Till January last year (so for almost 3.5 years) I didn't have any issues with it. So maybe it isn't as bad brand as I think it is? After all the Professor said that 3 years without any issues is a really long time for a laptop...

2. It was Steve's idea to box that x ;)

1. Well, maybe you'll get lucky with it. (Gosh, that sounds kinky.)

2. At a price of Many (a hunnerd fiddy), $i man.

I must still de-dish the dishwarsher (Texas spelling) and minister to the cat, but this global warmth is too much fun, oj tak. Referenced cat is up here about to jockey for laptop space atop my lap, miu man. She just licked the Scotch-tape dispenser -- wonder what's up with that, huh man.

Polish-only inside & outside the regional forums, oj tak! The correct expression is "many." You know this.

I'll regret it even more than usual if I stay here amidst this raucous (albeit numerically challenged) company, so I shall perform the tasks listed above and head for bed, accordingly awakening in the morning with bed-head, see man and oj tak.

I'm happy they offered two laptops only.

Three would be too many! laughing.gif

maybe they couldn't count to many?

One summer off from college I spent working in a metal stamping plant. Many of the old timers worked there before safety devices were used, because of which they were often missing fingers. Stamping presses are not nice to fingers left in place when they're activated. A fair percentage of those guys couldn't count to 10 as a result.

So... I went to the computer shop today and got two laptops recommended to me...

HP ProBook 430

Dell Vostro 3360

Gosh, I hate being so indecisive! cray5ol.gif

HP Probook 430 too little memory from what I'm seeing, only 4 gig standard. Has i3, i5 and i7 models, I hope you're looking towards the i5 at least.

Dell Vostro 3360 is last years model, there are no new Vostro's and the 3360 was a major rework of the previous model. Given the lack of follow up, I'd suspect it was a bad design they're pretending they never made. I'm also seeing many hits on a search Dell Vostro 3360 failure. Also not a good sign. As I mentioned before, Dell will make some good computers, but also design some complete pieces of garbage which you never want to own. This I fear might be one of those.
