The thing is on top of the fuel pump. Which is in the tank. In my yukon, I'm able to replace this sensor without dropping the tank. Your truck should be very similar.

Even if you have to drop the tank, a more reasonable price at your local garage is 400-500 bucks.

Well, the dealership is always more expensive. Here is what they wrote: " Did system check found code PO455-449. Checked vent solonoid found bad, also pressurized tank with purge solonoid and tank pressure sensor not reading correctly out of specks, needs vent and tank pressure. $870 to replace fuel tank pressure sensor and vent solonoid kit"

All I heard was $$. I googled the codes and it seems other people were told tank drop by the dealership, but were able to do it themselves without it. I am debating it now.

I seriously had to tell the car dealership this past week that we couldn't afford to spend $900 on a non-essential repair (a vapor sensor has malfunctioned and requires taking off the whole gas tank), but the total bill for all the non-essential stuff was $2000. The guy kind of let me know that we could put it off for quite some time, and it was only a problem with the Emissions inspections which I just did 3 weeks ago, so saved there. Eeek! Just when I start saving something is always coming up.

I also might have put on all the weight that DH lost! He keeps bringing me food when I am stressed. I think it will help that as of this week he has the car M-F, so if I want junk food I'd have to do a couple hours of walking or some nice bicycling.

We need to buy a car, which is going to set us back 3 - 4 grand. Dad is letting us use his car at the moment, but it's a complete piece of junk, and I am very wary on spending our own money on it since 1. it's not ours, and not our fault is such a POS, and 2. it just might ####### out at any minute. However, it's such a mess I don't know how we're going to keep using it until we can afford to buy our own. I really need to get a new job, but finding something that pays what we need is proving difficult. I'm open to just about anything, but now I'm unsure as to whether I should look for jobs in the area, or in the city. Urff.

Part 4 maybe Philly?

Nola maybe San Diego?

Asia, maybe Nepal?

I considered Philly, but I'm thinking that might prove dangerous. I'm not particularly fond of Pittsburgh, either. We're thinking either Harrisburg or DC, but DC is so pricey I'm not sure how we'd swing that. I love visiting Baltimore (born there, all my family lives there) but it's an ugly, dangerous city, and if we're going to go through all the trouble of moving I'd rather it be to a place I like, you know? Luckily, hubby doesn't really care what city we go to, he just wants to get to a more populated area.

USC who lived in Manabí, Ecuador with hubby from 2009 - 2013. Hubby became a naturalized American citizen in August 2016. Currently living together in northern Virginia.

Be quiet about that, no one is supposed to know about that until the release party next month, where we send all of congress to Siberia.

Send them in the middle of the night while wearing jammies.

The temperatures in Yakutsk (during nights) are lower than 5'F these nights...

Doesn't sound cold enough, maybe the vacuum of space would be a better location for them.

The marathon is coming up fast.....

I KNOW!!! It is the equivalent to me like a meteor hurtling towards earth and I cannot do anything to stop it. I have an injury and haven' been able to run in 3 weeks but can only bike. My plan is to attempt to run the full distance and play it by ear.

This year should be different, as I'm ambulatory and building winter greenhouses. Duh, and my wife will be here.
