I suggest you wait till greencard in hand and ssn in hand. however, once ssn in hand, get him a credit card asap from CapitalOne - either the 'recent immigrant' version or a 300 dollar secured card. After 2 months of payment history, apply for car insurance again. He'll be found in the 'system'

Along the way, get him a drivers license...

1- I got Tiff on my insurance prior to SSN.

2- I got her credit card prior to even I-130

3- Ali no can drive......(He's blind, thats why he married Wack) hehehee........

When my wife starts rambling too fast in her native language to me, I start speaking French back to her.

When my insurance company found out I was planning to buy a new car for my wife, they immediately wanted me to apply for financing through them. When the finance department found out my wife was an immigrant, they refused to allow her to also be on the loan. Needless to say, they are no longer my insurance company.

Skip where ya been? I thought you went from Dallas to China.......

Jumping after the holiday now. My old firm found out I was in Dallas area for a bit, and made me an offer I couldn't refuse, to train up some new hires in the sales team. Seems my Sales Director was too busy and suggested my involvement, which snowballed into a site visit, which snowballed into a signed contract with retainer.

I don't need the money, but I enjoy training up new sales geeks. My other project is going well, also wink.png

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

Ali can't have a USAA account (alone) until he is a citizen. We have a joint, which is fine.

In this case, you shoulda spoken French to this insurance company.....

Good to know. Right now we have insurance through Allstate, but I was thinking of getting it through my USAA. They have been absolutely amazing any other issue I've had with them. They even helped us write off part of the loan on the car my dad paid too much money for.

I am kind of not looking forward to going back to Denmark this Spring/summer. *grumble* Plus, my grandfather is kind of pissed that I haven't visited him in the UK in a while.
