Cold baths can induce shivering which makes the fever worse vs better. They should be lukewarm at coolest.

Ibuprofen is better than acetaminophen except in babies. You can give both with a 2 hr spread between if the fever is really high and you're having trouble reducing it. But only in children over the age of 2 or 3. Obviously aspirin is a huge no no.

Glad to know miniTB is feeling better though!

That's what I do with the kid.

Fluctuate between Advil and Tylenol. It keeps a fever down better.

And using a warmer bath makes her sweat when she exits, which is the natural way for a body to cool down.

Anyway....Niki has insomnia too?

Dun wanna do anything....

I'd hibernate if I could............

i hear ya....slept whole day yesterday to catch up on the lost sleep for the week. Preparing a list for thanksgiving.

Applied for more jobs just now, having a discussion with the hubby. He seems to believe that moving across the ocean from Switzerland to the US is the same as moving from state to state as in from Ohio to New York state. *punch*

Have a good Sunday everyone !!!

nah I drank a monster at like 7pm.. LOL Sweating is a good thing for a fever. I am always glad when my kiddo has a night of sweating because I know her fever has broke and she'll be better the next day. Been some close calls of "tomorrow we're going to the doctor because her fever isn't staying down and it's been xx days"

We saw the new Thor last night. It was better than the last one, nothing to rave about, but I thought it at least did our religious beliefs slightly more justice.

Maybe I've just gone crazy, but I kind of thought Loki was hot. wow.gif

seems a lot of people are thinking that lately..

Personally I don't see it for me, but I see why other people may.

Mini-B. is better, wee man, after being awake from 2 to 4 a.m. early Sunday with coughing. Mrs. T-B. was out of it (coming down with similar, herself). After Mini-B. got some ibuprofen (to which we're gravitating, from acetaminophen) and some allergy medicine, he and we slept till after 10 a.m., zzz man. He had a very long, deep nap today and seems to be much better, crossed fingers man.

Thread-Laundress report: Warshed 5 loads (should've been 4, but didn't do the kitchen rags on Sat. night) without incident, whee man. Broke into large box of Sears laundry detergent; am disappointed that there's no scent at all, other than a faint smell of plastic (could be because the stuff is in plastic within the box), but the stuff appears to be highly concentrated and seems to do the job.

Can't be bothered to look but j, did you guys end up seeing 12 years a snooze?

nah, we did not. One of the parents would have had to drive us and they were pretty tired from work and did not wake up. Hubby forgot to tell them times anyways. I told him to let it go and we can go to see something around christmas time.

You're not alone. My sister thinks the same laughing.gif

yes he is. :D
