Subtract the cost of one chartered boat from the pulling fee. And why did you not charter a boat to go fishing?

so, my friends drop whatever they were doing today. We pack up the truck, fishing poles, electronics, etc.....

we go to the dock, ready to slaughter the Striped Bass.....

Looking forward to heavy fall fishing action and a wondrous meal afterwards........

And this is what we find at the dock...........

NEXT WEEK, you were supposed to pull my boat NEXT WEEK !!!

12 wonderful degrees outside here today. Fall coat has been officially retired for the season.

Professor you lost me....

My boat usually stays in the water, coming out every 5 years for rework. She had to come out this winter because of a broken trim tab. (when I had to jump in the water to free the starboard prop from a crab cage rope). But I didn't expect it to be pulled out until next week. So I was expecting to find my boat in the water.......

Why didn't you charter a boat to go fishing, when you discovered your's had been pulled for repairs? I would have thought there were charter boats to be had around there.

Dang roofer are working above my office today. How's a man to think with them making all that noise over my head?

How's a man sposed to charter a boat on 10 minutes notice??

I was expecting to see the ole battle wagon in da water and ready for action.....

I suppose I coulda borrowed my friends 45 footer to go fishing....but to take a 45 footer out is a PITA, especially with a crew that doesn't know the boat. Plus it's a lotta work just to take a boat that size out for 2 hrs of fishing.....

Funny, the big fishing lakes around here have guides and charter operators are just waiting for someone to walk up and pay for some time out on the water catching fish. I would have thought it was the same around there.

nuh uh....these guys around here charge about 600 for a half day charter on a 30 footer. Plus tip for the mate. Book in advance, business is good.......

And all they've gotta do is follow me around to get on the fish :)

you had like 5 guys and you couldn't pitch in a buck and half a piece to go fishing? You're making me think NY city is a low rent district now

Just do it like they do around here

I was actually going to say that. They use little canoes in Ecuador. Or you could rent a swan boat with peddles! tongue.png

Prepping for Xmas shopping next Friday. I usually just do Black Friday online, to avoid all the outrageous crowds, but hubby is hellbent on experiencing this firsthand. God help me. wacko.png

Also, have a prospective job lined up! It's for the city government, too, so the benefits are pretty good, and the pay is much more than I was getting at my last job - as in more than double. Fingers crossed for me! kicking.gif

How's everybody been? Besides Steve and his boat situation. wink.png

USC who lived in Manabí, Ecuador with hubby from 2009 - 2013. Hubby became a naturalized American citizen in August 2016. Currently living together in northern Virginia.

Somehow I think getting splashed with water in a tiny boat isn't the same in northern climates as compared to the warmer water areas.

Doing good here.

Glad to hear you've landed a decent job.

Very true. Guess it would depend on how badly Steve wanted to go fishing. content.gif

Pssh, people are still paddle boarding and canoeing here and Steve and I share the same waterways in essence.

Job sounds promising! I hope it works out. I am thinking about going here shopping on Thursday-Friday despite my hatred of it because the outlet mall not only has great sales, but another 30% off on top of that from 3am to 6am. I think that Williams Sonoma, Osh Kosh, and Ann Taylor are calling my name!

I knowwww! I am so dreading the crazy amounts of people (parking will be impossible, I can see it now) but the deals are too good. We desperately need a new laptop, among other things, so I think I'll have to break down and just go. cray5ol.gif Not looking forward to it.

I am dying for some new shoes. I already have far too many, but I would really like some nice boots. idea9dv.gif
