I had a 4 year old tell me to screw off the other day at work when I asked her really nicely to please put a toy she had been playing with back on the shelf. Makes me wonder about people's children (never had that happen to me in Canada in 8 years of retail). Pretty sure it's the defining moment of when I've decided to never become a USC.

I think there will be a point in which you begin to accept and embrace America.

I know it happened for me and Denmark.

She came over from what was then Czechoslovakia when she was a teenager and goes back to visit relatives all the time.

I do think your husband and my ex would get along, although I think my ex is probably a bit worse.

For me, it was the immigrants into Texas circa 1870s. Lots o Czech speakers, Czech was an offered language in my high school.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

I don't know him but I am sure it is true. My husband might have his shortcomings but so do I and we are both learning and both believe that once we move out we will be able to handle things better and independently of the parents and the family drama. He plans to get his driver's license, haven't gotten him to think about GED yet.....next on the list :)

Lies, there are definitely mutant creatures there.

Errrmm, are you propositioning me?

So, because the Dane and I are obviously impatient people, I got my Christmas/birthday present today - a Kitchenaid Artisan Mixer. The Williams Sonoma outlet by my house had them for way cheaper than Amazon or anywhere else, so alas I had to have it now, right? I made soda bread with it tonight. Yum!

Sure I'll give you all the STD- computer bus you want :)

And yes....the gowanus is full of monsters.....but they won't sink either :)

LPoTBP and ergo unread, no see man.

Once you were blind, but now you can si, man!

Wasn't STD Andy Granatelli's company, with the commercial jingle "esS-Tee-Deeeee is the racer's edge," huh man?

I think that's ST-P......
