but one thing I realized is that Czech "bacon" is more meaty a thicker then the bought type here its the unsmoked kind. Uff I am not sure what to name it lol sorry. We fill it with sour cabbage and "bacon"

it is my husband's parents house and he feels like i should be as little of a burden as possible on them aka...if i was not here then the temp would not matter hence we pretend i am not really here. I understand it...i dont have a job i cannot contribute except by cleaning and such so its fine.

in other news....thanksgiving is off for me it seems. actually this whole thing with thanksgiving is going to be interesting.....ugh

Just walk around in the house with a parka and an Eskimo hat. Constantly hold a hot cup of tea. May be they'll get the hint

I baked cookies and I am seriously dreaming of a pretty stand mixer for a combined bday/xmas gift. The Dane got tools amounting to that in value for his birthday and as an early Christmas present......

I love my kitchen Aid. My husband got it for me for our first Christmas before we got married. His co workers told him not to, that it was a big no no. I'm so happy he did not listen to them. Now if it was a broom well I probably would of hit him with it. But that mixer is so nice, I'm baking stuff like crazy.

Rear idea I'll get Tiffany a pot and pan set for our anniversary and some small kitchen appliances for Christmas

I'm sorry to learn of your dilemma. I'm not offering advice. But I'm avering what I'd do......

1- treat it like a social engagement rather than the big family day that it is.

2- be present, be civil. Kill them with kindness.

3- be gracious and diligent.

4- eat to my hearts content as if no one else is there.

5- right or wrong, I'd stand by my wife.

Kickball?!

I've busted my small toe more times than I can even recall now. I no longer bother going to the doctor, I just tape it to the toe next to it and try to be careful for a while. First time I broke it, I was a youthly man and always in a hurry. As such, I never waited to step the last steps, I leaped the last 3 to 4 steps. Everytime the toe started feeling good, ie no longer in pain, I'd forget and leap the last steps again. Intense agony would resume to remind me I had a broken toe, and now it will take that much longer to heal completely. After a few months of this, I was finally broken of the habit of leaping the last few steps, and no longer felt as youthly si man.

Next time, I'll tape it myself. Youthly days of taking downward stairs more than one at a time are gone, bye man.

The shoe is on the other foot, and at least I have one leg left to stand on, see man.

Actually, the bedtime killpainer worked admirably, and things were much better this morn. Irregardlessly, because I intuited (accurately) that I could not walk more than short distances without damage or strife, I called in sick and instead went to a couple of GSs with Mrs. T-B. & Mini-B. Mrs. T-B. bought a couple of things at each, total $5. I was glad that we went to these, because they're not near the route planned for tomorrow, no man. I hope that it doesn't rain, si and no man.

And I still think that GSs should be held on Saturdays & Sundays only, and not on Fridays, si and no man!

After the GSs, we went to Chick-fil-A and dined heartily for $11.36, by virtue of some rare coupons that came into my hands, gorge man. After that, we returned to the casa and took major naps. Cat slept with me and was entirely comatose, looking like a corpulent exploded pillow the whole time, miu man.

It is very cold in the house. My husband decided there was no need to have heating on since its just me here and I can put 3 dogs around me to keep me warm.

Does not really help. Gonna go stand in very hot water in the shower.

Buddy of mine (gringo married to Ecuatoriana) wrote me the following yestereve, si man:

"I woke up this morning feeling very comfortable despite our home plunging to 63 degrees, thanks to the electric blanket. Surprisingly, even my head felt warm without having to wear a sock hat."

Don't want to use the term "cheap gringo," but let's just say that he's exceptionally thrifty, $i man. You wouldn't believe it, no man.

However, he endorses GSs, see man:

2. I don't drink coffee, because I don't like it. There's no hidden agenda/ideology behind my not drinking coffee. I like its aroma, but its taste is something I can't accept.

At work I drink green tea and at home the earl grey

Green = fungus; gray = mold, oj tak.

I drink coffee black.....usually with a little sugar.

It's a habit that I picked up when the Naval carrier I was on ran outta milk in the Persian Gulf........

"Waiter! I'd like a cup of coffee without cream."

"We're all out of cream, sir; how about having it without milk?"
