This morn (meaning Thursday morn),

rofl.gif your ability to tell stories...it was a good morning story. thanks.

sorry about your toe. I had broken my big toe so many times I don't even bother with doctors. It looks very S shaped but only if you look at him (the toe) from a certain angle so I am fine with that.

I have friends that could supply a recipe for that dog. My wife doesn't like our current foster dog, he leaves too much hair around the house. And what really got to her was all the air he left in her car when we went to an adoption event with our rescue group. Now when ever she sees a bunch of hair on the couch or her clothes, she looks at him and says Lechon!

Technically this is baboy lechon. But canine lechon is made the same way.

you know the dog even sleeps in that same piggy position...she is prepping for the oven. innocent.gif

It is very cold in the house. My husband decided there was no need to have heating on since its just me here and I can put 3 dogs around me to keep me warm.

Does not really help. Gonna go stand in very hot water in the shower.

Slow turned on a spit over charcoal makes for better tasting lechon. Makes the skin nice and crispy. Our foster dog is too skinny to make good lechon, and I'm thinking I better keep him that way or the wife will make good on her threats! rofl.gif Actually my wife loves dogs as pets, not a universal trait in her native country, as many love dogs as dinner.

Got some good news last night. A friend who resides in Leyte finally surfaced after a last contact the day before the typhoon hit. Her and her family survived, there's no electrical power and probably won't be for at least a few months. She had made it by banca boat to an un-devastated island to get supplies and could finally check in with friends abroad.

Sorry Asia, you are no longer allowed in America. We got enough wacked out eat and drink healthy nuts here. Now if you had said you don't drink coffee because it dilutes the beer, you'd have gotten a waiver.

Healthy nut? Me? No way

I don't drink coffee, because I don't like it. There's no hidden agenda/ideology behind my not drinking coffee. I like its aroma, but its taste is something I can't accept.

Glad your friend is OK.

Asia obviously hasn't tried a Mocha at Starbucks or a Mocha Cookie Crumble yet.

If she had, she would like coffee.

I drink coffee black.....usually with a little sugar.

It's a habit that I picked up when the Naval carrier I was on ran outta milk in the Persian Gulf........

you too Asia girl........

I mean you have a good weekend too

I haven't enjoyed milk in coffee since I was an infant. And yes I did drink coffee as an infant. There was an old custom in my family to give an infant coffee if they were fussy. It appears we were all coffee addicts in utero from our mother's habits. I remember drinking coffee with milk and sugar up until about 4 years of age. It was in high school I picked up the habit again, this time just black coffee, and my first taste said wow this tastes good and this is what's been missing for years.

yes.gifyes.gifyes.gif I don't really consider those drinking coffee though, its more like a dessert to me.

speaking of whiskey...my parents would teach me about beer since I was a child, I could tell the difference between 10 and 12 percent alcohol when I was like 7. Can't do that anymore (beer yuck) but still :P
