Yup, headed out to an El Salvador joint round the corner, getting some sopas y beef.

Hard marinated fried pork chops and pancit last night. Thought we were gonna have golden mango for dessert, but it turns out the ones we bought were bad. At least good green mango is back in season though, those suffice for the dessert.

it's a shame. That a company officer in the private sector has to be spoken to about responsibilities, and personal work habits. I think he'll be gone by next year.

I just know they're good. I like both the green mangoes and the golden mangoes. I do not care for the round mangoes normally seen in USA grocery stores. So I need to wait for the asian stores to get in the kinds I like.

A mango tree in the yard? Doesn't he know that monsters and ghosts live in mango trees? My wife tells me we can never have a mango tree in the yard for that reason!

BTW those mangoes are too ripe to eat green, and too green to eat ripe. What are they doing taking them at that stage?

I think the Chinese believe that ghosts live in banana trees. They're traditionally cut down after 3 years.

in fact...my FIL showed me a few miles from his rubber plantation, where he had to lease land years ago. Where he toiled with bananas to make ends meet. In the 80s and 90s. They were poor.

You really like half ripe mangoes? To me I want them hard, green and sour, or totally ripe and sweet. That half ripe stage is just not right to me.

I thought for sure that you'd be over this, cough man. I'm coming down with something, but no way I'd get any rest at home, because of the very (inter)active Mini-Bone, who is himself with a cold or something.

I am over the pneumonia I think. But I think I have strep now made an appointment to see the doctor tomorrow.

As for garage sales they start too early for me, I could never get myself out of bed that early for that.
