I had issue with bonafide documents. Since I had nothing to provide as a bonafide evidence, I was told by my counselor/lawer to send pictures we took with other people, including our wedding pictures & also proof of ongoing relationship, for that I sent screenshots of our skype video logs (starting from the time after I left his country until I mailed I-130, which was technically 1 month) will that be enough?

I'm just curious &haven't heard from USCIS yet after I mailed out the I-130, it's been 4 days since the documents have been delivered...I'm getting very nervous :(

First thing is you are going to need to learn to wait. This is a long, slow process. It can take up to one month to receive the receipt after the petition is delivered. Then you have to wait in line to have it looked at. Then, if everything is good you will move to the next step, wait, the next step, wait, repeat til sick of waiting.

This is what I sent for my I 130.

Photo Copy of Marriage Certificate from CDO Office ( Nepali )

Translated copy of the same Marriage Certificate.

Affidavit of someone who attended marriage

Photos from Marriage

Wedding card

Heres a link of what documents NVC/Embassy will accept for Nepal

http://travel.state.gov/visa/fees/fees_5455.html?cid=9693

I wouldn't worry. If you can get hold of the above documents try and have them in your hands in case there is an RFE letter.

Generally you should expect acknowledgement (NOA 1) within 2 weeks. Also keep an eye out to see if they withdraw money from your account. It can get crazy waiting so be patient. Suggest reading up on the procedures on this forum

Good Luck.

Hi, i am a bonafide Tibetan refugee living in India. My wife is a permanent resident living in the states. We got married in Nepal in the year 2011. But due to some circumstances, Nepalese Govt do not issue marriage certificate to any Tibetan refugees there. So, i made a certificate from our representative office in nepal certifying our marriage, but now the problem is Immigration Authority (in RFE) says they can't accept this certificate and asked us to submit certificate issued by CDO/VDC, which is not possible for Tibetans. Now i am really worried, Really appreciate if anyone can shed light on this case.

Thank you all!
