It's really quite mosaiced (I know that's not a real verb!) going through the case numbers around mine. Random petitions have been approved, RFE'd, ARN changed, and some just on transfer notification still. There seems to be no rhyme or reason. Disappointing that the outburst of approvals has suddenly slowed back down to a drip. I want all you guys approved so we can have our own mini NVC thread for Oct 2013 filers only. Seriously, that big NVC thread is just TOO much to read through and it's mostly people asking questions and being ignored!

ROC from CR-1 visa (Green Card expiration date was Nov 24th 2016)

Link to the evidence I submitted. Be sure to send evidence spanning your entire marriage (especially for K-1) or as far back as you can. Just one or two bank statements will not cut it. I primarily focused on the two years of living here since I came in on a CR-1. If you don't have the fundamentals (i.e. joint accounts/policies), you can explain why in the covering letter. E.g. "While we do not have joint utilities, we both contribute to them from our joint bank account".

September 26th 2016: I-751 package sent to CSC

September 28th 2016: Package delivered
September 30th 2016: Check cashed
October 3rd 2016: NOA1 received with receipt date of 09/28/16
November 3rd 2016: Biometrics received with appointment date of 11/14/16.
November 14th 2016: Attended biometrics appointment
October 30th 2017: Infopass appointment to get I-551 stamp
February 26th 2018: I-751 case number (aka the NOA1 receipt number) becomes trackable
March 14th 2018: Submitted service request due to being outside of processing time.

March 15th 2018: ROC approved. 535 days (1 year, 5 months and 17 days)

March 29th 2018: Card being produced

April 4th 2018: Card mailed out

April 6th 2018: Card in hand. Has incorrect "resident since" date. Submitted service request on I-751 case (typographical error on permanent resident card) and an I-90 online.

April 2018 - August 7th 2018: Tons of service requests, emails and now senator involvement to get my corrected green card back because what the heck, USCIS. Also some time in May I sent a letter to Potomac telling them I want to withdraw my I-90 since CSC were handling it.

August 8th 2018: Card in production thanks to the direct involvement of Senator Sherrod Brown's team

August 13th 2018: Card mailed

August 15th 2018: Card in hand with correct date. :joy:

October 31st 2018: Potomac sends out a notice stating they have closed out my I-90 per my request. Yay for no duplicate card drama.

It's mostly people asking same questions over and over. If they bother to read/search few pages of thread, they would find answers anyway.

I know the NVC group is so difficult to follow. It's very time consuming to read so many postings.

We might be able to continue using this thread for the NVC stage in 1-2 months assuming most of us will have received NOA2 by then. Fingers crossed.

Meanwhile, you can always use the I-130 Filers Facebook group to ask NVC related questions. It's a friendly group and you usually get your questions answered.

Okay so this immigration stuff has drove me completely crazy I believe. Most of us check so many numbers before us and so many after our number. I have been watching these same numbers since Monday. I am currently watching 167 numbers before me and 138 numbers after me a total of 305 numbers. Believe me it takes about 3 1/2 hours to check all the numbers. Mind you 288 of the numbers I am watching all have my same priority date of 10/29/2013. Anyways this is what I have saw in just my few days, 6 of these numbers after my number were approved on 4/8/2014 and 2 numbers had their ARN changed. On 4/9/2014 4 people had RFE's and 1 number had an RFE in December 2013 that showed today a post decision approved 4/9/2014. In all yes USCIS employees are skipping around there is nothing in order at all.

I decided to check 10 in front and back of me, and oh my, there are LOTS of RFEs. Is that the case for anyone else? There was a few approvals and one other ARN change other than mine. But maybe I will take it as a good sign that although I didn't get approved I don't have an RFE and just an ARN change. Who knows- I'll try to take anything as a good sign :P

The numbers were released last thursday. There is no reason why this week could be slow. My theory is your file is at desk of someone who is too occupied with some complicated cases. You will have something in a week or two. How long are they gona stretch it anyway?

I sure hope this is the case and I'll get approved next week. Oh, I'm starting to hate using the words, "next week"! Haha. :dead:

Can someone please add an NVC category to the spreadsheet? Date shipped, Date received, Case number assigned, that should be sufficient at least we can stay here. It's way too many people in there and the problems they describe are too specific.

So like others here, i've taken to checking my case number on the USCIS website regularly, as well as those case numbers around me. I kind of got sick and tired of manuallly doing this, so I created a script to do it for me. :clock: What else am I going to do with my time while waiting for USCIS to get into gear?

For those technically minded I will have the code below, so you can modify it and run it yourself.

The output of the script looks like this (by the way that is just an example case number i'm using):

root@lappy:~# ./checkI-130.sh LIN1490053940 15

I really appreciate you writing this script. As a note, I also noticed that the receipt numbers seem to be issued in form order I130,I131. So once you hit a non I130, you can stop.

Oh I know- since I got transferred and had an ARN change I felt like my hopes went up and then nothing!! They have 26 days and counting until the 60 days after the transfer. I had a good feeling about this week- but now I'm saying next week too. I think we should ALL get an award for patience!
