It's funny because I've signed up for the text/email notifications, but I still check the USCIS web site thinking, "Maybe they approved my case, but there is a delay receiving a text/email?" NOT!

I promised myself not to check it more than 3 times a day because it honestly does more harm than good. Every time I check it, I keep getting disappointed and keep drinking more (more $$$ for beer and wine)! Boy, this immigration process is getting more expensive!

I want them to approve you all so bad :( I feel like it's unfair they approved mine before yours. I thought they're supposed to prioritise cases where the American spouse lives abroad, even those who aren't DCF... besides which, you filed before me anyway! You must be on another desk or something and the guy sitting there spends most of his time by the water cooler.

ROC from CR-1 visa (Green Card expiration date was Nov 24th 2016)

Link to the evidence I submitted. Be sure to send evidence spanning your entire marriage (especially for K-1) or as far back as you can. Just one or two bank statements will not cut it. I primarily focused on the two years of living here since I came in on a CR-1. If you don't have the fundamentals (i.e. joint accounts/policies), you can explain why in the covering letter. E.g. "While we do not have joint utilities, we both contribute to them from our joint bank account".

September 26th 2016: I-751 package sent to CSC

November 3rd 2016: Biometrics received with appointment date of 11/14/16.
November 14th 2016: Attended biometrics appointment
October 30th 2017: Infopass appointment to get I-551 stamp
February 26th 2018: I-751 case number (aka the NOA1 receipt number) becomes trackable
March 14th 2018: Submitted service request due to being outside of processing time.

March 15th 2018: ROC approved. 535 days (1 year, 5 months and 17 days)

March 29th 2018: Card being produced

April 4th 2018: Card mailed out

April 6th 2018: Card in hand. Has incorrect "resident since" date. Submitted service request on I-751 case (typographical error on permanent resident card) and an I-90 online.

April 2018 - August 7th 2018: Tons of service requests, emails and now senator involvement to get my corrected green card back because what the heck, USCIS. Also some time in May I sent a letter to Potomac telling them I want to withdraw my I-90 since CSC were handling it.

August 8th 2018: Card in production thanks to the direct involvement of Senator Sherrod Brown's team

August 13th 2018: Card mailed

August 15th 2018: Card in hand with correct date. :joy:

October 31st 2018: Potomac sends out a notice stating they have closed out my I-90 per my request. Yay for no duplicate card drama.

Was that just from the G-1145? They'll only tell you they received your application with that. You need to make an account on the USCIS site and tie your case number up with it to get any further updates. If you've done all that, then I don't know why it's not working for you :S

Of course I made an account on USCIS website. Hmmmm well, I just can say that I really dont trust USCIS lol.

LOL! I know, I do the same thing. Even though I know it is so silly! How is it that this USCIS process turns normal, rational people into the complete opposite? :P

You may be right! My application could be on another desk or something. Since NBC make a boo-boo and transferred the applications with later PDs first, NSC has been processing applications with later PDs first. Since your PD is a couple of days later than mine, I could get approved any day.

Come on NSC! I've been drinking day and night! LOL! Please approve my case before I check myself into rehab!

The worst part about approvals (if there had to be a worst part) is moving to that thread! It moves too fast to keep track of anything going on hahaha

Yes, I was browsing the "NVC Filers - April 2014" group and thought it was not as friendly as this group.

I think it's because there are so many people posting messages on the thread. I'm not sure if many questions are being answered there. So it looks like it's best to educate yourself by reading the official USCIS site and Saylin's page. http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/NVC_Process

You may also want to read about shortcuts on the NVC stage.

I think we all wish they'd just do it in order by number, you know? I totally don't mind waiting my turn if it's one by one in the correct order. I feel like it's not fair there are still people waiting in September while there's people much later in October that already got approved. Just makes no sense. I think that's why this group helps me try to understand any kind of trend the processing might take. I am really looking forward to NVC which just seems so much more straightforward and organized.

:P I think I'll take it over waiting for USCIS!

I was really hoping to get to the all the paperwork sent in to NVC before I travel for the summer! Now not sure if that's in my cards the way this is going. Might have to leave the paperwork with my parents, as I really don't want to send it from Europe or Egypt.

Sometimes I think I'm going to kill my husband for not applying for citizenship years ago and making me go through this all over again!

Good idea :) At least don't travel out for a long time! It is now a silent agreement that my husband will apply for citizenship this time- no way, no how am I going through this again if we move abroad again in the future.

We are definitely more stressed out now since they have been approving petitions all over from October - its worse now waking up that today may be the day or not knowing if you might have to wait more months still! Would be so much better if they just did it in numerical order. All we want is certainty USCIS :ranting: !

But I agree as someone else mentioned - I think they are just trying to keep the majority of us quiet hoping that we may be on of the lucky ones!

In the mean time keeping busy getting all the next round of information and packing up our flat. I want to be ready the day it happens :dancing:

Looking forward to when our lives can go from paused to play again.

So used to reading everyone's replies every day, its going to take getting used to once no one is left here!!
