Page 2 of the I-1864 Instructions states:

How to Fill Out Form I-864

3. Answer all questions fully and accurately. If an item is not applicable or the answer is "none," leave the space blank.

I'm not sure exactly what went on with your case, but i'm curious what you mean by stating that you got an RFE for "leaving a few boxes empty"

can you please be a little more specific about what exactly USCIS asked you for? perhaps you left a box blank that is in fact required. this does not mean that you need to write N/A or none in boxes that you are not required to fill in. in fact, doing so would go against the explicit instructions of the form.

Hi,

Sorry I have not mentioned that I used I-864-EZ. It was actually for part 3. The form askes for your physical address (if other than mailing address) so I left a statement on the first box saying, "same as mailing address". Three weeks later, I get a checklist for missing information. The only info I have left blank were the city, country, state, and zip code boxes. Everything else was filled out and double checked.

I personally think they have some system that scans the documents. If it was a person who checks these documents, that person would have realized what "same as mailing address" means. I found it to be aggravating that they generated a checklist for something a human should know what it means.in my case.

Here is the response I got from the checklist.

General Instructions

[x] You will need to complete and submit the new form, completely filled out (all pages required), which includes

the changes noted below. Submitting single pages of the form with the correction is not acceptable. In order

to make corrections you will need to download a new form at www.ImmigrantVisas.state.gov.

Part 3 Information on the Sponsor

[x] This section is incomplete, please answer all questions completely. (If a question is not applicable,

please indicate N/A in the appropriate space.)

I hope this helps out.

Hi, we'll be filling out the EZ form too, so thanks for this info :)

ROC from CR-1 visa (Green Card expiration date was Nov 24th 2016)

Link to the evidence I submitted. Be sure to send evidence spanning your entire marriage (especially for K-1) or as far back as you can. Just one or two bank statements will not cut it. I primarily focused on the two years of living here since I came in on a CR-1. If you don't have the fundamentals (i.e. joint accounts/policies), you can explain why in the covering letter. E.g. "While we do not have joint utilities, we both contribute to them from our joint bank account".

September 28th 2016: Package delivered

November 14th 2016: Attended biometrics appointment
October 30th 2017: Infopass appointment to get I-551 stamp
February 26th 2018: I-751 case number (aka the NOA1 receipt number) becomes trackable
March 14th 2018: Submitted service request due to being outside of processing time.

March 15th 2018: ROC approved. 535 days (1 year, 5 months and 17 days)

March 29th 2018: Card being produced

April 4th 2018: Card mailed out

April 6th 2018: Card in hand. Has incorrect "resident since" date. Submitted service request on I-751 case (typographical error on permanent resident card) and an I-90 online.

April 2018 - August 7th 2018: Tons of service requests, emails and now senator involvement to get my corrected green card back because what the heck, USCIS. Also some time in May I sent a letter to Potomac telling them I want to withdraw my I-90 since CSC were handling it.

August 8th 2018: Card in production thanks to the direct involvement of Senator Sherrod Brown's team

August 13th 2018: Card mailed

August 15th 2018: Card in hand with correct date. :joy:

October 31st 2018: Potomac sends out a notice stating they have closed out my I-90 per my request. Yay for no duplicate card drama.

Does anyone happen to know that the DS will contact the petitioner or the applicant when they receive our case from USCIS?

I'm just kinda afraid if they mail something to foreign address, the mail will get lost...

Hey all, I haven't posted here before but I have been checking in to see how the progress was going for my fellow October filers. I personally filed in the second half of the month with a PD of October 25, 2013, so my case was directly transferred to the NSC back in October. I'd been wondering like a few others in the thread how fast we could expect approval since we never went to NBC and hadn't seen any activity since the initial NOA1.

I had been keeping an eye on my inbox the past few weeks as approvals picked up, but hadn't been checking in on the online case status so often. I got a nice surprise this morning when I checked my number and had the following message waiting for me:

On April 4, 2014, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN. Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

Great way to start the week! They never sent me any kind of email, so make sure to keep checking the online case status.

Guys, question: When they say 60 days waiting period (from the office transfer till the response day) do they mean business or calendar days?? Im desperate....

I am going on calendar days, as it doesn't state business days specifically. Am currently at 30 days after the transfer. I so hope I hear this week. I can't imagine waiting beyond the 60 days. That would be awful.
