People on this board crack me up. I made a few initial calls, talked to a few people and am waiting to hear back from a few more. As well as the fact that I have still have more people to call. I live about 30 miles from DC and spend a hell of a lot of time dealing with many of these entities downtown, especially after 9/11 taking care of a new Department. That's all I can say. I'll leverage my contacts and shut my mouth. Have a nice day. Sheesh.

Not sure why you're being like that.

Your effort to find out what the deal is is appreciated, I only said that we already knew all this. No need to be getting upset.

We welcome all new information. As a collective, we have much, much more potential to accomplish our common goal. I am especially intrigued by number 4. So they DO know how furious we are. All that is missing: unity.

First, thank you for any info you can get. Second, it sounds to me like you are bragging about your "contacts". Here we are all on the same boat, you can be a senator's son/daugther for all I know, but here we are all waiting, we share our frustation, we get mad, but we move on. You sir/ma'am have a nice day.

I appreciate your effort and your information. I believe at some point while we sit and wait for our I130's to be approved on a quick basis, I also understand they have a job to do. I also understand the petitions go in spurts one minute its one visas being approved at a quick rate and others lag. I just pray that once they finish up the backlog on the others that they will aggressively begin working diligently on the I130's for USC.

I agree. I'll be totally mad if I found out someone who just filed gets approved because of "contacts" inside agency. It won't be fair to others. But from the looks of it I doubt anything can be done even with the help of so call "contacts". Not even Senators or Congressman can speed up the process then I doubt some contacts can. Anyway good Luck!

i wish i could delete that statement. Some evidently did not understand that i was seeking additional information as to what the real deal is opposed to hearsay, conjecture and emotional tirades. Sorry if i caused any confusion. It was not about pulling strings for myself, it was more to find out exactly what is going on to the best of my ability using a large network of people i have built over the past twenty years of working in and around DC. Maybe I did contract work for a certain department for five years and dealt with all of these entities on a daily basis and know people (fed and/or contractors) that work there, or have worked there.

I wish everyone the best of luck. I am no more special or deserving than any other USC and did not mean to portray that. Sorry my post caused such resentment or ill will. Last post on the subject, and probably here for awhile. Chao...

This is a petition to decrease the processing time for I-130 for anyone who may have missed it. Please sign it and pass it along.
http://www.change.org/petitions/president-obama-uscis-dhs-decrease-wait-time-for-i-130-petition-for-alien-relative

It is absurd that current wait time just for I-130 approval is 11 months, and it is even more CRAZY that it is due to DACA. Why is it that the citizens of America have to suffer because the government is trying to legalize the stay of illegal immigrants. Yes the email may be a little outdated but so are the USCIS updates on I-130.

Below is an email from USCIS field office director:

From: Dooley, Sharon V

To: # SPM ISO

Subject: FW: Message to Field Offices on NBC Workloads & Modified Processes

Date: Wednesday, October 17, 2012 2:07:45 PM

Attachments: image001.jpg

Importance: High

Please see the following information which describes the workload shift from the NBC to the field. NBC is seeking to bring on additional staff to assist with their increased workload due to DACA. As they gain more staff, the NBC will resume its current case preparation processes and take back the adjudication of the stand-alone IR I-130 petitions. The timeframe that they will resume this work is unknown at this time.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation.

Someone has kindly created a general email (google doc) for all of us to copy and paste and send it to everyone on the email list (on pg 3 of google doc). The plan is that everyone will email/fax them THIS TUESDAY (11/19) in hopes to raise awareness of the issue of the long dreadful processing time. Please help take part in this issue and pass it along.

I truly believe if we all took part in this, we can make change!

Personally, I think your efforts to get answers through your contacts was of benefit to applicants in the same way as the efforts of the US Green Card Petitioners Committee and what is happening today... ie spreading the word about the delays in the I-130 processes. Maybe your contacts have some influence which will only help us all:)
