Hi. Something weird just happened. On 29th March2014, we received an email from TSC requesting further evidence (RFE) on our case. But 3hrs ago, i got another email sayin your case has been reopened. It goes as follows :

Post Decision Activity

On March 31, 2014, we mailed you a notice informing you that your I130, IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN, was reopened. If you have not received the notice within 30 days of the date above, please call customer service at 1-800-375-5283 for further assistance. If you move, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address.

For approved applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include USCIS sending notification of the approved application/petition to the National Visa Center or the Department of State. For denied applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include the processing of an appeal and/or motions to reopen or reconsider and revocations.

Any idea what it could mean ??

Maybe somebody hit the wrong button and accidentally closed your case. Either way, it's open now, and you'll need to respond to the RFE. Just assume that it was some kind of glitch.

Is your timeline updated?

After waiting 162 days for NOA2 i am really impatient and don't know how to distract myself :) My wife and i are so ready to go in USA and make life there but USCIS processing got part of our life and i think after all is over we will miss it :) LOL PD 10/21 so we got sent straightly to Nebraska, i don't know but i think October filers routed directly are in the bottom, i think so bc we don't have any random (20 October and further) case reviewed!

It is very positive that Nebraska does fast and it is hope it will come till us fast therefore! Come on Nebraska, do it for us we need you!

Congrats all 31 Approvals ! ! ! I wish rest of us will get approved soon! For Nebraska based on October filers avarage time between NOA1 and NOA2 looks like 170 days! With this logic i can get approval in this week! (Hopefully)

I'm an October filer too. Did you guys attach the Affidavit of Support Form I-864 along with the I130? Just wondering.

I heard someone got denied, then they were talking about the affidavit of support forms. So i'm a little confused here.

Thanks! Good luck to all of us and congrats to whoever got approved! =) :goofy:

You only attach that if you're adjusting status in the US. Doing consulate processing outside the US (standalone I-130) doesn't require the I-864 until after the I-130 is approved and the case goes to NVC for processing. Status adjusters don't interact with NVC at all.

ROC from CR-1 visa (Green Card expiration date was Nov 24th 2016)

Link to the evidence I submitted. Be sure to send evidence spanning your entire marriage (especially for K-1) or as far back as you can. Just one or two bank statements will not cut it. I primarily focused on the two years of living here since I came in on a CR-1. If you don't have the fundamentals (i.e. joint accounts/policies), you can explain why in the covering letter. E.g. "While we do not have joint utilities, we both contribute to them from our joint bank account".

September 26th 2016: I-751 package sent to CSC

September 28th 2016: Package delivered
September 30th 2016: Check cashed
October 3rd 2016: NOA1 received with receipt date of 09/28/16
November 3rd 2016: Biometrics received with appointment date of 11/14/16.
November 14th 2016: Attended biometrics appointment
October 30th 2017: Infopass appointment to get I-551 stamp
February 26th 2018: I-751 case number (aka the NOA1 receipt number) becomes trackable
March 14th 2018: Submitted service request due to being outside of processing time.

March 15th 2018: ROC approved. 535 days (1 year, 5 months and 17 days)

March 29th 2018: Card being produced

April 4th 2018: Card mailed out

April 6th 2018: Card in hand. Has incorrect "resident since" date. Submitted service request on I-751 case (typographical error on permanent resident card) and an I-90 online.

April 2018 - August 7th 2018: Tons of service requests, emails and now senator involvement to get my corrected green card back because what the heck, USCIS. Also some time in May I sent a letter to Potomac telling them I want to withdraw my I-90 since CSC were handling it.

August 8th 2018: Card in production thanks to the direct involvement of Senator Sherrod Brown's team

August 13th 2018: Card mailed

August 15th 2018: Card in hand with correct date. :joy:

October 31st 2018: Potomac sends out a notice stating they have closed out my I-90 per my request. Yay for no duplicate card drama.

Well, the mystery is solved, and you were all right! I never did get my transfer hard copy, but this morning we got the hard copy of our approval notice, which came from... Vermont! So yes, that's where we were sent after all.

Which is kind of funny, because that's the only state with a service center that my husband has never been to! Now, of course, we'll have to make a pilgrimage out there and dance in their parking lot or something!

Anyway, our file is en route to NVC in New Hampshire now... I made my first phone call to check up on it last night, and although it hasn't been received (as far as their computer knows) the guy on the phone was super nice, and it felt really good to have someone who was willing to talk to me (the beneficiary) - I'm a real person now!
