Are you referring to the three emails we are sent after the case has been transferred? Because I have emails dated 3/5, 3/6, and 3/10. All three are just basically saying we transferred your case or that it has arrived at a service center. Now in the actual transfer letter I received it says Notice Date: March 6, 2014. This is the only date on the letter besides the PD.

based on research I have done and talking to July and Septeber I-130 filers.

There are three different dates posted when they start transfering your file, but the last date means someone has physically touched your file. It may take up to a month or more depeding of the complexity of the case, also on the service center and of course the person who is looking at your case. Each file has to go through background checks (name checks) maybe international checks, reviews and other kind of reviews before approving an application, this mean other people as well reviews your application.

so we should be looking at the transfer date and see how long it can take to approve an application. Also, keep in mind that there may be an RFE (this take longer)

I am also wondering how much of it has to do with what country the beneficiary is from and if the beneficiary is male or female. Even though our case is super easy because my husband already had a green card through me, has no kind of record, we've been married for 10 years and have a son I wonder if just because he's from Egypt it might take longer with different checks they have to run these days. I guess I'll see.

@JayBabay Yes, the last date 3/10. NSC started looking at your file - count from that date it takes an average of 3 or 4 weeks, but keep in mind how complex is your case. Also remember there are people behind you, but some cases could be straight forward and not complex.

We all shall see soon

Well it's just an American born citizen, graduated from a California university and filing for a Jordanian wife who is currently enrolled in college over there. No criminal record in our lives, very straight forward.

I think if anything would delay it, it would be her country of origin or my parents', but even then Jordan is not known for having any of the problems that are associated with most other middle eastern countries. Also, notice how many male beneficiaries have trouble with advanced processing when coming from those high risk countries. High risk to immigration and high risk to national security. I can easily see why these things would cause delays.

Yes, this is what I am afraid of. That no matter who you are, if you are from countries that are "flagged" (probably a fair amount of Middle Eastern Countries) you end up having a longer processing time because of required checks they have to do on you. But that's just speculation, I suppose, as I don't know for sure. Obviously there are other factors like the other poster suggested. I guess I will give it a week or two and if I don't hear anything I will contact the assistant to the senator I have been in touch with to inquire on the case. Hopefully it doesn't come to that though! I guess we are all so anxious since we have already had to wait SO long. Anything that causes delay is not welcome!

at least there's been lot of moments from there lately. TSC and NSC are competing with each other at being slowest, while VSC guys are busy watching the show. CSC is that nerd kid from the class who always does his home work on time. And NBC is that bully who always passes his work onto others lol. We better get NOA2 before we all start getting crazy.

NSC is like an immigration detention center. :bonk:

They lock your immigration case with heavy duty chains for a long time. LOL! :protest:

I feel like they just sent me to NSC jail. :help:
