Congrats to all recent approvals! Thanks god Nebraska approved at least someone from October it gives us hope that something can happen faster, I hope NSC will pick us such random for approval instead of being in forever line! :) (From september NSC approved several for 25 and one from October everything looks like Nebraska awakes what is very very good) Go Nebraska go we are with you!!!! (Self encourage is left)

Oh gosh...I am glad for all the VSC approvals. But am now a little concerned why I only got an ARN change the on the 24th and not an approval right away? Maybe because my husband still has a valid green (but lost status) they change the ARN fist and then approve? I hope so :/ I know I shouldn't be worried, but I keep checking my email now for any USCIS emails.

I am at Texas too and I am not sure where Texas is going...its kind of in the middle bumming around I feel. I am off to SafeWay to buy some Raisinets and eat the whole bag at once since TSC is just right in the middle.

I know....but it's really not fair that if you check the immigration timelines, it shows a lot of people applied after we did, and they got approved in a month...

wth is that?! and we waited for 5-6 months and still nothing?

Plus Texas is getting slow now...I was happy at first when i saw my case got transferred...now it is just sad!!

But good luck to both of us and rest of us!

No approvals today?

We should base it on the transfer date, not on the priority date. The transfer date is a good indicator as when our application will be approved.

Nebraska filers, it seems they are working on 3/05/14 transfer date. Some applications will be approved sooner than others due to background checks and other reviews they may need to do.

Congratulations!!! to everyone that was approved.

We all hope our applications are approved soon.

Colombo, is this generally how it works? Do they usually take the entire group that was transferred on that day and begin processing that paperwork?

based on research I have done and talking to July and Septeber I-130 filers.

There are three different dates posted when they start transfering your file, but the last date means someone has physically touched your file. It may take up to a month or more depeding of the complexity of the case, also on the service center and of course the person who is looking at your case. Each file has to go through background checks (name checks) maybe international checks, reviews and other kind of reviews before approving an application, this mean other people as well reviews your application.

so we should be looking at the transfer date and see how long it can take to approve an application. Also, keep in mind that there may be an RFE (this take longer)
