I wonder if it is because they don't keep as close an eye on the approvals as we do :P

USCIS transferred the majority of the Oct applications to NSC (the slowest service center). :ranting:

I thought they were trying to reduce the I-130 backlog to 5 months by May? :huh2:

It would have made more sense to transfer more applications to CSC (the fastest service center).

What are they thinking? :bonk:

Nebraska goes slow but goes! Nebraska it is time to show to everyone how fast you transformed! I hope for approvals soon guys. We are so ready for further procedures we need all NOA2 and we all do second breath on this long and painful way. September 20 % approvals already by Nebraska and all Service centers together 39 %

NOA 1 (e-mail, text, and hard copy) was the last, and only thing I got from the USCIS ... and that was about a week or so after filing (October 2013)

Never got notification on any transfer activity whatsoever...

Never saw anything regarding transfer activity of our case online either.

Randomly checked our case status yesterday, which I do just about only once a month, and found that it was approved (NOA 2: March 20th). Currently overseas for about another week so I won't get the hard copy until I get back to the States.

Just passing on the good word.

Yes, and they're probably super disorganized as well. I wish someone smarter was managing USCIS. <_<

I got an email today- the ARN was changed. So they are touching the case! That's a good thing if they change your ARN number, right?

PD 10/1

Transferred to VSC 3/7

ARN number changed 3/24

Yup, someone is looking at your case. So chances are you will either get approval very soon! Good luck~

Some say it's a good sign, but others say it doesn't mean anything. I honestly don't know. :huh2:

One thing we noticed is that some service centers (especially NSC) assign an ARN to a case that either the petitioner is a naturalized citizen or the beneficiary had a green card in the past but lost the permanent residency status due to living overseas for an extended period of time.

Hello, I am new to this forum I am a U.S citizen and he is from mexico. We filed in October of 2013 for my Husband. I wanted to know if there was anything new I just got a notice that our case was transfered to the Nebraska service center. How long will it take for them to approve or make a decision? When will we get the NOA 2?

Thanks

If you look at september spread sheet, there are few people with ARN notice similar to yours. Apparently lot of people at NSC get that. First time I heard someone from VSC receiving it. Usually at centers except NSC it means officer is assigned to your case, and you should hear something soon. I have seen lot of people get approved in a day or two from CSC after getting ARN number email.

That's interesting- yes, my husband (the beneficiary) did have permanent resident for years on end (his green card is still not expired), but we know he recently lost the status because we were living overseas for more than 2 years. So that would make sense. I'll see what happens and report back!
