I have received my three texts/emails stating i have been transferred to California, as well as my case transfer confirmation letter. Yesterday I got a notification that my "address was changed" which i never requested or modified on the website.

"On March 20, 2014, your address was changed relating to the I130, IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN that you filed. "

I am hoping that this means that my data was being entered in the system, but I really don't have a clue. Has anyone else seen this or know what it means?

Tier II says "ignore this email, it was a clerical error, a glitch in the system" hmmmmmmm. Considering much of the CIS notifications are automated, I find that hard to believe. Something happened, what I don't know. My address was correct, the same as the original submission. I think it is officially being "touched". I am hoping someone is actually working on the case. That is my guess but I don't have any proof. But something happened....hmmmmmmmmm.

Does everyone else get ARN? Im wondering why I dont have one.

The ARN is known as the A number and it's the number that will appear on the green card. I suspect that on the NOA-2 (i-797c) it would appear in the upper right hand corner below Notice Date in the USCIS Alien Number box. Can you confirm there is a number there (just don't disclose it to us)? Just because you didn't get the ARN change notification doesn't mean you don't have one. smile.png

From what I have read on this forum and from personal experience, I think the alien registration number can change in two occasions:

- when the person that has filed for I-130, files also for I-129 F (K3 visa).

- when the person that filed for I-130 approaches approval or request for evidence.

We are December I 130 filers and after that when we filed for K-3, our alien registration number changed immediately after they received the I-129 F.

Since then, nothing happened, since we are still in the processing time.

Well, the mail came today, and we didn't get our transfer notice yet. There's no way hubby will wait on the phone for a tier 2 to find out where we've gone... guess we wait until at least Monday.

I'm really looking forward to NVC, where if I want to get some kind of human answers they'll talk to me (beneficiary)!

I'd also really, really like to get the letter on Monday, because I'm going out of town for the rest of the week and would like to get the answer before I leave!

C'mon US/Canadian postal services!

I've been waiting for the transfer notice in the mail too. It seems to take longer for USCIS to send mail to Canada. sad.png

NSC has been approving cases faster. VSC may approve cases fast, but we don't have enough data. TSC has slowed down recently for some reason. So it may not make much difference unless your application has been transferred to CSC.

It looks like the backlog at NVC has been reduced a little bit. So it's a good time to be moving to NVC. kicking.gif

Well, they do have 2 postal services to deal with. It seems so random... We got the NOA 1 inside a week for our i130 but the one for our i129f took almost 3 weeks to get to us. Oh well. I'm going to bake some cookies.

I didn't mean it. I was just saying you don't need it as Change of ARN is done before i-130 Approval and your i-130 is already approved.

But even then if i sound harsh to you i take my words back . . . P e a c e :)

And yes ARN change is not approval of i-130 and i-130 approval is not the VISA . . . then we have to go NVC then embassy in beneficiary's country. Then medical police report and interview and GOD forbid AP . . .Hope we all get our VISAS soon

The ARN is known as the A number and it's the number that will appear on the green card. I suspect that on the NOA-2 (i-797c) it would appear in the upper right hand corner below Notice Date in the USCIS Alien Number box. Can you confirm there is a number there (just don't disclose it to us)? Just because you didn't get the ARN change notification doesn't mean you don't have one. smile.png

I got my A number on my NOA1 and now in the transfer Letter too.
